I just don't understand how you Scrooge Mcduck characters have managed to get enough gold you could go swimming in it! Since the gold vendor came out I've been trying to have 100,000 gold in the bank in case Kena appears, and I feel rich if I've got that.

But seriously how do you do it? I never pay for travel, I have the champion passives that reduce the cost of armour repairs and increases the gold found in chests, and once I actually made some vet 15 gear that was sturdy just to keep the upkeep cheaper!

i make gold from recipes. when i was trying to collect all of them i spent hundreds of thousands on them. then when i only needed 5 more blue ones to complete my list, i noticed the prices on some of them were crazy. so i started selling them instead. the most i have sold a blue recipe for is 50k. but it only cost me 800 gold. so now i buy recipes and sell them. i also sell columbine because you get it for free but you get good money for it. i buy anything i can get cheap and sell for a profit. as the other person posted, its a whole other game and very time consuming, but if youre a money hungry *** like me then it can be fun.

Apparently I've been playing Santa with blue recipes as I list them for 100-150 gold each...had no idea they sold so high.

What would be a good asking price for a purple cardiac arrest recipe? I haven't listed it yet.

It's not all Blue Recipes, just some of them. For example, Highland Rabbit Stew is one of the super rare blues (L25). I have only seen one in a Guild Store, and it was listed for 10K. I did not buy it, although it sold in one day. Instead, I respecced two mules into Provisioning Level 2 and got the recipe from the 4th Writ (2nd day doing them on the two mules) as a reward.

So, Blues fall into 3 categories, common ones that sell for 150 to 250, kind of rare that sell for 800 to 1000 and super rare that can go into the low 5 figures. Just shop a few kiosks to see what Blues show up all the time, or some of the time, or almost never, to determine what category the one you have is in.

As for Cardiac Arrest, that is also one of the rare Purples, although I have pulled 3 of them from Writs over the last two years. It's probably not all that rare a drop, but so few people do L5 Provisioning Writs, and there are not all that many places to container farm that level of recipe, so in the market it is rare. But, a couple of weeks of doing Coldharbor Provisioning writs should uncover that recipe.

Can't speak for other platforms, but Cardiac Arrest is a 8K to 15K purple recipe the times I have seen it listed on NA/PC.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Approaching 100k on my main, I think that's the most gold I've ever had since I spend everything on motifs and gold mats >:) Hoarding for the new update >:)
Skye Cloude - Sorc DPS, Master Crafter. Main, the bestest
Lae Lenne - Templar Healer Trial grade.
Dromede - Stamina Nightblade, she's a newb and doesn't know what she's doing
V'oghatta - Stamplar pretending to be a tank
Ulville Thonvella - aspiring Fire Mage, be careful around her fire sticks!
Dromedaris - lost and not found. Named after a shoe, what else can you expect from her? A proper tank in her wildest dreams
Swims-Naked - too pretty to grind, too silly to quest.
Sun Flair - Dunmer Templar that can't spell for life. To bad she's too broke to afford a name change... Well, at least she's pretty...

highland rabbit stew goes for 40-50k --- i have sold three of them for those amounts in the last month. apple mashed potatoes will also go for that much.

certain other blue recipes got between 20-30k, such as truth glimpse, celestial tonic tea, spriggan sap, and rabbit corn chowder.

i get a lot more for blues than i do for purples because they are harder to find --- in fact, i believe i bought the rabbit stew one youre talking about for 10k and got 50k for it.

bitter remorse ale, sweet lemonale, ginger port, sujamma, the ox tail soup one, peacock pie, pondwater tea all go for around 10k .

there are a bunch more that go for decent money but i am old and cant remember them.

or buying hakeijo runes for around 10k, and making the prizm glyph in gold and selling those between 35-40k.

the nice part about this is i do writs every day, so i rarely have to buy a kuta.

the purple capon tomato whatever it is recipe goes for 10k, as well as the withered tree inn recipe. most purples only sell for around 7-10k. i did, however, just sell two slow simmered rabbit goulashe recipes for 20k each.

My gold built up over a two year period by questing (one of every class). I am not in a trading guild, only sold a couple of motifs through chat. I've spent my share too, through guild store purchases.

I consider 5-10 millions is pretty rich.
Im a seller irl so Im good at knowing what sell well , margins,etc.. Sitting on 5m , 5 x v16 golden armor wich 2 have PvP/pvE sets, pretty good inventory of gold mats (no exploits lol) and alchemy plants stacks ready for potions.
My biggest expense was the Lich's set staff wich costed 800k back in october. I still love it xD
My biggest mistake was crafting by mistake Julianos daggers instead of swords and gold them. 200k+ to the trash -.-'
Im not greedy tho , ive spent a lot of money to help friends or guildmate to get mats for their v16 or jewelry. Some people are just bad at this market/money game and when you can help...why not!

@acw37162 yes I said something similar, but the guy with no gold didn't want to pursue the issue. Let's just say the rich guy did not offer a penny and in my mind I think the other guy just thought he'd rather not cause an issue bc the rich guy was NOT gunna part with his gold.

Also wanna know how I know how much gold he had? One of the 1st things he did when we 1st met was trade offer me, then showed 2.5 mil gold.
