There are 5 executes (3 class 2 weapon) in game, so they are pretty rare. it is odd that every class has one but DK, but then every class has a targeted gap close but sorcerer (has streak instead), every class has an armor buff apart from nightblades (they have the 4 second shadow passive shadow barrier). and i like these differences. Even the ones that negatively affect my favourite characters.
id suggest instead they buff mages guild or destruction staff etc, to have a magicka base execute.

You do have to bare in mind what it can be used in conjunction with and not just the skill in isolation.Spoilerwith whip it is also getting benefits from elemental drain and engulfing flames, both allowing you to get more damage from it and offset the cost so magicka regen requirements are lessened allowing more focus on damage. There is nothing else that can boast the same. ofcourse this is offset by its range

RocDonald✭✭✭YesMolten Weapons used to be an effective execute (when heavy attacks would do up to 150% more damage to enemies below 50% health) but for whatever reason they got rid of it. Not really a whole lot of ranged options. I would suggest turning fiery breath into a ranged fireball (similar to crystal blast), it would help some with our burst damage. Like, how many DoT's can you stack

PvE DPS wise they're already performing well. PvP wise they need to get back, what they excelled at - sustain. They need stam regen while blocking, some kind of dynamic ultimate, a working Green Dragon Blood.

✭✭✭NoIdk, mDKs offer the most group utility of any class on top of being among one of the stronger DPS classes in the game with great sustain and survivability to boot. Giving them an execute would just make the class almost too perfect, missing only mobility.

3? The only one I can think of is from the 2hander tree. Are you counting Steel Tornado as well?
Also, it is kind of dumb only catering to magicka builds with class abilities. I mean they are literally going through and changing a lot of skills around so it becomes more balanced. Plus the Nightblade class has an execute that scales with magicka and stamina, so not like it's unreasonable to ask for.0 -

✭NoI don't believe DKs need an execute. I'm a firm believer that the only thing DKs need at this point is defensive buffs, not offensive buffs. We need a strong reliable heal that doesn't require you to be attacking an enemy (FIX DRAGONBLOOD). And Major Evasion while standing in your own Cinder Storm/Ash Cloud/Eruption.
If they want to bring back the old reflect mechanics that would be a plus, but I don't think they ever will.

Well that's not the only way to play a Magicka DK and not every ability needs to fit into every build.
I see your point, though, would be nice to have something more versatile. I just miss my 40k heavy attacks against permablocking "unkillable" tanks. Like no, sorry, here's a hard counter to everything you're trying to do and which nobody else can deal with, have a nice day. ✭✭✭✭NoWe need something but I don't think an execute would be accurate to our needs. I think we need some actual survival outside of armor rating and a resto staff, and our noodle needs to be made al dente.
An execute would be nice and it would help I just think it would be like a detour rather than actually fixing the road.Edited by Armitas on May 10, 2016 4:08PMRetired.
