3/5 on ps4. If they added text chat and basic mmo things like buff timers it would be 4.5/5 (nothing is perfect)

Text chat is coming, it's already got a UI internally and will be implemented soon. Buff timers do exist... they just don't show up in the main UI. You can only see them through your character sheet. I agree, having them up front would be better.

I hate very much most of the times. So much repetition, bugs, lag and... ooooooohhhhhh you meant rate... with 'R'... nevermind then...

It's really hard to give MMOs one rating for the entire game. There is just to many different things in them that can't be factored together.

    Questing: 8/10
    Immersion: 7/10
Quality end game PvE content (New Trials, and Dungeons): 7/10
Class ballance: 4/10 (6/10 with current DB changes)
Rate of end game content released (Trials, Dungeons, and PvP content): 4/10
    PvP: 3/10

Over all ESO really shines in some areas while nearly failing at others.

Yeah, what makes it "painfully average", just like Angry Joe said at launch, even those were other reasons. Same goes for the graphical/mesh quality - landscape and buildings are awesome, but some outfits lack detail or are deformed and the new ones do not even bother to be feminized - what a braindead decision, where woman are so into style and fashion. This will hurt their revenue more than they might expect, if they keep this up.

I enjoy the game a lot, I cant give it a rating because I dont even know if it would be 3 or 4...
I agree with you guys about the greediness, but unfortunately that is how gaming companies, in fact any companies operate nowadays, and after all, it is a free to play game, so maybe thats where the lack of costume quality etc comes from sometimes (not that I agree with it).

Anyway here is a more in depth:

Graphics: For a mmo I would say the graphics are very good. Not great, you can easily see the 3 stones on a path that are repeated over and over, the square of grass, being copy pasted next to each other, creating clear lines sometimes of where it was copy pasted, the textures of some rocks...

Take a closer look at the imperial horse and see for yourself, take a look under the bear mount...or better yet, dont; the clothing unfortunately looks just like one layer with a painted texture on top not in the highest resolution, the unrealistically made body proportions - long torso, short legs, huge shoulders, breton heads that look like balloons, new female armor that makes this shape on the chest: " ( " instead of following the...erm female curves... You get the idea. I know this is something that doesnt matter to most but for me it does, I am very picky when it comes to graphics... however... I go around in Auridon, the sun sets, then the stars come under the fluffy clouds... and I cant notice any little flaw anymore in any texture because everything in that moment looks just right <3. I dont know if it is just me, because I love sunset and watching the stars, but I would say they did a beautiful job at creating the ambience for an online game.

It is an mmo after all, a free to play one, that means they cant just include flowy capes, hairs and high textured armor, they probably lack the resources for that, this is why I say for me the graphics are still very good even with the lack of good quality textures, that can easily be replaced in the future.

TLDR: The textures could be in a higher resolution, they arent at the moment but they can always improve, the game is beautiful.

PvE: What can I say, I love most of the main stories in game and some of the side quest stories, the only thing that could be a complaint is just that some of the voice actors dont sound very convincing.
As for my other complaint... bare with me, I am a terrible gamer, so dont take this too much into account but I feel as if the game doesnt actually have a middle ground. What I mean with that is: I stroll around, do my quests, fight a boss here and there, last main story quest, piece of cake, all extremely easy and then I get thrown in Vet Maelstrom and it is unlike anything I encountered in game... Dont get me wrong I loved the experience BUT I feel as if the game didnt prepare me for that in the slightest, just personal opinion but probably because I suck at gaming, and no I am not a casual I spent a lot of time in this game, trying to get better, have my own plans but... I am just bad xD.

    Game mechanics:
I know, I know... as an mmo they have to constantly change things around, but they do it a bit too much in my opinion, they constantly change a thing here and there in the skills, vets then no vets etc... It feels as if they didnt actually know what they want to make out of the game, so they just change things around, and that is a bit of a drawback for me personally.

PVP: Lag. Nightblades. Hate them. But I still dont care, I will take my sorceress there, mute the chat, and start cursing like a sailor ;____;.

So I guess now that I thought more about it I give it a :star::star::star::star:. Love the game, there is room for improvement but that is with everything.

And before some massive fanboy tells me to stop playing because "I dont like the game" just because I made a critique, please just...take a deep breath, and realize that the only reason anyone that plays the game and criticizes its mechanics its because they WANT to remain customers and love the game, otherwise they would have moved to a different game already.
And for those saying ZOS has no responsibility into listening to our "greed", remember again, it is them trying to sell you a product, they have to convince you the product is good enough and worth of your investment, its not that the players are "greedy", its how sales work, if you pay twelve dollars or something per month, you ARE entitled to ask for a lag free experience, especially if you pay it for a year and ask for it for a year with no response.
If you pay around 15 dollars (I think) for a mount, you are not greedy for wanting the textures to be high resolution and so on, otherwise the next thing is people going to the restaurant, paying for a steak and getting an eggplant.

I give it 3.5 stars out of 5. Terrible loot system with RNG, awful performance in Cyrodiil, new exploits surfacing every month, broken skills with every update, and more new bugs than you can shake a stick at. I think that about covers the missing stars, but the 3.5 remain just because there are still many redeeming qualities such as overall content, and a commitment to continuously add new engaging content and interesting things to do.

Although I eventually gave up on Heists out of frustration I did enjoy most of the Thieves Guild content, Orsinium remains a very memorable storyline to this day, and eventually I may decide to give Maelstrom another try at some point if they ever make it worth the time and effort, although after two tries I vowed I would never do that again. I am still looking forward to the Dark Brotherhood quests and whatever else is in store for the next DLC after that.

With SCT from TG, and resource numbers, hp%, and ult% coming in DB it's going in part in the way I'd like. If we get effect trackers/timers, and a more customizable hud I'd be set on that front. I just want more 4 player content to do with those things. I honestly want DSA scaled up to 160CR and more dungeons added. Trials are fun but getting 12 players together consistently is a bit of an issue.

I keep playing ESO because of the combat. I care the most about that, it's easily 8-9 out of 10. However it's really light on content. Which distracts greatly pulling it into 5-6 range.

    3.5 out of 5.

    And there are no 5's.

The game was always good, at least to me, but the current rate of new content along with other improvements to the base game make it really something special.

Now, if they'd just make Craglorn do-able so all my crafters can get their 9 of 9 and free up those extra points languishing in Research.
Brunhilda Icehammer - Nord Dragonknight, 'Smith & Enchantress 'What is 'ranged? I need to hit something!!'
Laehl Direthorn - Bosmer Nightblade, Purveyor of fine Clothes, Bows and Staves
Reeza gra-Zuni - Orc Templar 'War Shaman' and Apothecary
Noemi Snowpaw - Kajiit Dragon Knight - I laugh... or I'd have to kill you.
Kitera Dreamon - Breton of The Dominion: Because those Daggers don't appreciate a great Mage.
Lysara Shadowcroft - Dunmer Bloodmage: This will only hurt a lot.

4/5. Things I'd change to bump it to a 5/5? Work on the lag for PVP, let us dye cosmetics and add a variety of personalities.

The sub is one of the more friendly out there too. $15 for all DLC and $15 in cash shop currency? Most other games don't give any currency on top of the sub or offer a fraction of the sub cost.

It's a fun game but, the lag in cyrodil has literally killed it for me. I get on for periods of like 30 mins now split up between days or weeks. I don't really care for the updates either. I think they kind of suck to be honest. I don't know it's kind of ***.

Every tried Black Desert,Blade and Soul or any AAA MMO?
Then you will know the difference!

Its 3/5, because it needs to still improve but it will reach there in time!

I really wish this were true, but I've been hearing the same thing for 2 years. In fact, in some ways the game has gone backward (lag, gameplay distortions, such as RNG manipulation due to B2P change).

I got to level 10 on PS4 before uninstalling and buying The Witcher 3, Bloodborne, and Dark Souls and Nathan Drake Collection, with UC4 preordered.

There are much superior single player games out there, which is all this game is as long as communication is borderline impossible.

Between all those games I don't have time to waste on a game that frankly frustrates me.

I gave up, and I'm not willing to "catch up" after 8+ months of waiting for them to implement this. The shiny has worn off.

    Is there a AAA MMO?

BDO is just a Korean grind fest with great graphics.

Blade and souls looks like a Chinese Runescape clone.

Maybe compare ESO to WOW or swtor.

I think ESO has the most realistic graphics of any MMO ever made, and that alone makes it a tier above the others.

LOL was that an official answer by ZO$ for real ???? Amateur-ish korean MMOs have dozen and dozen of cash shop pages... But ZO$ needs to remove Things because it takes room ?

It's the most ridiculous thing I've heard.... Why not be honest and say putting a Limited Time next to something makes weak minded people buy stuff?

Well with the recent patch I have to adjust my rating of 2 stars again. They managed to break the client again, crashes, audio issues and once in a while pink textures again - unable to deliver a working client even after a good amount of time they had to fix it - instead they break it again - 1 star less - so we are down to 1 star now - very disappointing, I would not recommend this.

I am not a MMO aficionado, but just because this is the best MMO, does not mean it deserves 4 or 5 out of five stars.

TESO could be SO much better than it is simply by working on this things that are broken instead of just pumping out "new" content as a money grab. (Is there anything really new in the TG story line?)

I would give TESO a 2.5/5 as if is perfectly average. To give an example, if Dark Souls had an MMO version, you'd never see me log in here again. Then again, Skyrim was awesome and I hoped this would be more like that ...

How many stars out of 5 you say? Okay let's see...

-1 Star for numerous performance issues.
-1 Star for numerous balance issues.
-1 Star for game breaking bugs that take weeks or months to "fix".
-1 Star for the severe lack of ETAs.

    1/5 Stars.

If you had asked this question before Tamriel Unlimited launched I would have given it a 4/5 easy.

It could be more, if they would not discriminate females with their decision to not feminize armor and costumes anymore, and if they would be more reasonable with pricing in the crown store. Furthermore communication is bad - there is pretty much no feedback from them, other then PR in their live show. We do not need PR lingo, we need communication with the community - two-way communication.

So this is why I gave it 2 stars now and 3 stars after DB will be released.

I dont see how people are still going on about costumes not "fitting" right. You make it seem as if they sat down and decided to not make costumes with now curves just to get one over on females. They are not discriminating against females. The more people throw around that word with trivial things the less meaning it has.

Edit: and who knows it may be a female who designed the costumes and armor styles being complained about.

But my hands and arms are shot to hell playing this game frantically for too many hours for too long so now I just play less than an hour per day because I think I'm done with ESO. I'll hang on for DB tho' but I am going nice and real slow with this game now.

    2.5/5

Loses 1 star for lazy costumes and armor designs. And loses another for dev team not listening or taking feedback from players and doing the exact opposite of what we asked like on skills and other tweaks its like we say buff by 10% and they nerf it by 20% and double its cost!!...

And lastly rng worst system I've ever seen in mmorpg ever.. the drop chances are pathetic the traits they allowed to be dropped on certain gear and the bind on pick up of everything its like taking my cake and eating in front of me...

I do not make it seem, but Gina said this a while back in an ESO live show - then after complains Jessica said, this would have been a mistake and it would be fixed soon - but now they put out new costumes which have this flaw again. So either of them is not telling the truth, they can't be both right. I doubt that these ladies do intentionally abandon the truth, so it has to be someone higher, who makes these decisions and I doubt that is a woman, because she would know how important that is. See for example the dragon priest costume, once that is worn, there is no way to tell if it is a woman or a man - they just rob us of our gender identity - I call this discrimination.
