try reading the post. I already HAVE it on almost every char on my account. Take a hike.

I'd spend $10 to max out the speed of my horse on an Alt that only plays Blackwater Blade. Delete and not care.
I won't touch it at it's current price.

Also 250 gold for an apple seems way over-priced for fruit, I think the stable-masters are scamming ESO players.
If there was no cooldown there'd be no point selling it in the Crown Store.

I swear, this "give it all to me RIGHT NOW!!!!" generation is going to be the death of MMO's. I get this feeling that they're working to reduce every game genre into the mind-numbing slog that is Call of Duty... Get everything as fast as possible, get burnt out/bored, move on to the next shiny game, rinse, repeat.

Do you remember how it worked at launch? If not please dont use that silly lines about this generation.

You are assuming they would actually sell "10 times as much" with no data. They might, they might not. Their analysts have a much look at it than we do.
With the extra characer slots coming, I will be back to having new horses to train. I will slog through it, as it isn't THAT big a deal. I just finish each character's day at the stables.

Lame.
Some of us don't enjoy the crap system. Pushing to make it better if you don't care either way should be a thing.
Why should someone be forced to do something they choose not to? I realize you and others dont care for the time it takes to run up those training levels, but for some it isnt an issue. Why should they have to take a side oe get involved just because someone else wants something they arent interested in?
It isnt lame at all.

I do my adventuring. At the end of the day, I break stuff down, sell unneeded equip., deposit in bank, and finish at the stables. Log in to the characters I didn't run around with that day, and drop some gold at the stables.
Easy. Not tedious at all.
But on the flip side of this argument; if you're not going to log-in everyday (either by choice or circumstance), why should you have a top-tier Mount with all three attributes at max, without going to the Crown store?WalkingLegacy wrote: »WalkingLegacy wrote: »UltimaJoe777 wrote: »<-- Is a casual player, has no beef with it even knowing it'll take me 6 months to max all 3 stats on all 3 of my new alts coming in DB.

Because they're choosing a side when they say they don't mind how it is, but clearly it effects those of us who do not play everyday, or who do not spend time every day to log alts just for feeding.

Still takes 180 days when it used to take 30. I made alts in the “old days” and after the change. The difference is substantial. I cringe at the thought of having to ride very far on my fat-bum horse until I can get about 30 speed increases or rapid manoeuvers or both. The fact that it used to cost quite a bit of in-game gold to buy partially leveled horses is irrelevant IMO, since at least the possibility was there.
The issue, for me at least, isn't about casuals not wanting to level their horses. It's about ZOS turning a 30-day chore into a 180-day one to boost riding lesson sales. People here calling others lazy or casuals seem to have short memories (or weren't around before the move to F2P).

The mechanic is as it is to reward those players who log-in regularly (i.e. every day). Those players will have Mounts that progress faster than players who only log-in sporadically.
If your play time is sporadic, that's what the riding lessons in the Crown Store are for.
This just brings us back to the situation where it seems that you want a top-tier mount, fully trained, but not have to put in the effort to get the Mount trained to that point; and you don't want to have to pay for it.
Your own argument makes it seem as if you want a top-tier Mount for free.
That's not how any MMO works. Not just ESO.

You're wrong. I have amassed a large amount of gold not logging in every day.
No one is asking for handouts. 150 days for feeding ONE worse is not your hardwork. You didn't break a sweat over it.
I've never said a horse upgrade/training should be free. I have said the upgrades need to be more meaningful and if I have the gold to upgrade it all at once, I shouldn't be locked behind 150 days before I can fully enjoy ONE mount.
And when/if I decide to level an alt, that's another 150 days to max a horse.
Worst horse system I have ever seen in any MMO period. True this games use to be worse. That's not the point.
Other MMOs do it way better. Gold sinks locked behind level caps is what the majority of MMOs I have played do. Not cellphone game timers.

Theirs truth in your post too why can't it be an upgrade that costs more gold to do each time? I mean it isn't a cellphone game but we also have cellphone games on pcs and consoles now.
