It's proven that those so called casuals used to pledge much more $ than hardcore players. Why should they penalize players who bring them much more income? R U MAD?

If it's proven, show me the proof.

If Joe Bloggs types* claim to only be able to play the game for an hour a month because they "have a life", why does it matter so much to them, with their nice life and advantages, if players who put more time and effort into a video game because they have nothing better to do end up better at it than they are?

*EDIT: Probably ought to clarify, "Joe Bloggs" is UK English slang for an ordinary average person. It's not a reference to an actual person or rude, it just means a sort of everyday average guy.

Try google for proof, make some research. I'm sure uncle google won't bite.

You are talking about extreme casualism which is rare, same as extreme hardcorism. There are loads of casual players who play much more, trust me. And still at the end of the day the skill is what matters. If you need dozens of CP advantage to kill someone then there is a much room for improvement. I highly support for rewarding most active playerbase, but making huge gaps between new players and elite is just unfair, especially in PVP orientated environment.

We're not talking about whether you need more CP to kill someone - I don't even do PvP for crying out loud. I just don't like being held back in my own character progression over and over because of people who play only occasionally - and have them cry about it if I have more CP than they do.

If I liked to play tennis and put in 20 hours a week practicing and got fairly good at it, I would not be held back by having my ankles shackled together whilst playing until everyone else who played tennis occasionally caught up to the amount of time I had put in to playing tennis. We'd all agree that would be ludicrous.

Also if someone says that something is "proven", it is up to them to provide research backing up that claim, you can't just tell someone that and tell them to "google it" when challenged on it. :D

Well, it's fairly easy to guess. Most people who earn good have less objections to spend more than someone who is still a student or is in his early stages of life. Also, those who don't work yet have usually much more time to spend than average Joe in his mid 30. There is no secret logic behind this ;) There are no serious development plans nowadays without features which attract the casuals. Just look at Wildstar what has happened to this game, they forgot about those who milk them.

According to PVP; it was just an example. As a PVE player you are more tanky or more dpsy while avarage Joe would have hard times to tank harder boss or throw a decent heals. Without a wise catch up mechanic and not even small chance to compete with elitists on the horizon this Joe will gave up and take his money with him and spend it in casino or buy a new tennis racket, cause tennis is more around skill and talent.

The real question is if CP kind of progression is a good one? Isn't the progression around gear and skill better? And finally - is the CP mechanism a lazy design?

I wish that I can use my CP -- I been sitting way above cap so long now. What is the point of CP if one can not use it?

I think that the lack of a cap increase is absurd. Motivated casual players have had every opportunity to catch up by now. I want to see a higher cap for greater build diversity.

I looked through 2 guild rosters last night on pts, not 1 person in either guild was below 400, some were upwards of 1000, its time for a cap increase...
