I think that the lack of a cap increase is absurd. Motivated casual players have had every opportunity to catch up by now. I want to see a higher cap for greater build diversity.
"Motivated casual players", which by that very definition is opposite of the very definition of a 'casual player'... not saying they're not motivated, but in your usage you are saying "players who put in a lot of play time in order to progress" which is not what casual players are about.
Let me re-interpret what you're actually saying... 'players that play a lot should be rewarded while players that have little time to play should be penalized'.

Uh, no. That's not what I'm saying at all. What I'm saying is that players with even a few hours a week to play, if properly motivated to exp and spend that time intelligently, could have caught up by now. There have been a variety of catch up mechanisms introduced. No grinding was required. One only needed to play the game.
Perhaps ZOS should reward chatting with one's friends with CP so we can finally increase the cap. Oy.
I have another question: How will I be able to gain XP at Champion Rank ~550 with this in place:Will monsters anywhere scale to my Champion Rank (550)? :OExperience gain rules will continue to function as they did for Veteran Ranks:
Mobs 40 Champion Points below your level will grant 75% of their normal XP.
Mobs 50 or more Champion Points below your level will grant 30% of their normal XP.
That is actually a very good question, looks like no kill xp at all for some of us.
EDIT: No seriously, if I'm not going to be advancing any of my characters at all from here on out, why on earth am I paying a sub for this game? I should go off and play something else for 6/12/18 months until I get character progression in ESO again.

Heh the result will be that champ points never increase. See all those of us who kept on getting champ points on the promise it would increase every DLC are going to leave now. This means only those who never get any champ points will stay and they always determine if there is any increase on the average player which will never get to the cap anyway....
The CP cap is staying at 501? Really?!?! Again?!?! I though we were told we'd get at least 51 CP per DLC. Why the change ZOS. This totally ruins DB for me and many other Progression PvE'ers I know.
This surprised me also. It seems like they'd have to increase the total CP just to account for the vet rank to CP conversion. If someone is at vet 16 and already has 501 CP, then does that mean that they don't get any CP for their old veteran levels? That seems unfair to them since everyone else will get the bonus CP from converting their veteran ranks.

You can go through it at level only once. Once you've gained the CP, your every future character will instantly be overleveled for Silver and Gold areas, so you'll be getting only 30% of XP when you go gather skillpoints and skyshards there. Do you think it's fair?Champion Ranks beyond the cap already require a lot more XP per rank, then only 30% XP from mobs on top of that? >< That can't be >< Certainly need a full set of the new training trait thenI have another question: How will I be able to gain XP at Champion Rank ~550 with this in place:Will monsters anywhere scale to my Champion Rank (550)? :OExperience gain rules will continue to function as they did for Veteran Ranks:

But this 30% ONLY applies in non-battle leveled areas... or do you plan to live in Cadwell's Silver and Gold forever?

Whats the fuzz about this?I guess they wont increase the cap because of balances and because they would have to change a lot in every zone. Is better if they dont level up the cap with this update and once all is set and done they could reach the cap by 100 in the next dlc after the db one.
About silver and gold scaling issues - you can always choose not to unlock all CPs on new chars at once, right? However the main point is that this in now uor choice. If zos were to lock it with xp or something this would just be another Vrank system. You can go through it at level only once. Expected and thank God! People on here forget that the rest of the world has a life. Even a no-lifer like me doesn't have 501 yet (497 or something.. and I play daily and got the extra CP from when they introduced it)
Yes, they should give people like you a better catchup mechanism, so that the time you spend in game is very productive in terms of CP gain. NOT hold back people indefinitely just because you can't play much.
