I sub because I enjoy playing the game daily and it's easy to sub and not bother with individually purchasing DLC. To me, it's a reasonable amount to pay for something that gives me so many hours of pleasure.

I sub cos I like and support the game, but saying that Zos definitely needs to add more features for subbers.

Crafting bag is a good feature! But there still needs to be more features.

Is there a reason beyond more content, nice graphical addons, and the Imperial race?

In other words, is there something actually useful (such as better armor/weapons, useful skill lines, ...)?
Sure, extra content ain't bad, but if that content is not actually useable...

There is no power up for subbing. You get in game benefits thst add xp, help some writs, crafting times maybe but no solid measurable IN THIS FIGHT advantage iirc.

They try and avoid giving people combat wins in exchange for money.

I do not sub, I unsubbed out of protest of F2P and I have never looked back since. This game was 100 percent better when it was subscription model only, the quality went into the toilet exactly as I knew it would.

All of this gumdrops and ice cream about supporting the game, yeah no, they are just dishing out garbage updates with reskins and content already made and withheld for a quarterly release, without actually fixing or innovating anything. Youre just supporting their wallet at this point.

I sub because I love the game and have a 'crown' addiction. Being on a limited income, it is better to be subbed than having to decide between game or going out for food. I do have food in the house but sometimes I don't like to cook.

I Sub because I really enjoy the game, and although I do not feel the benefits for subbing are currently huge, I do get a little out of it and get the dlc's while I play. If I am away I don't sub, but sub again when I am back. Overall I sub because I enjoy the game and feel the Sub does support the game I enjoy and wish to see continue to grow and expand.

I am tempted to sub when the crafting bags come out. I still have 4500 crowns left from past sales that I planned to use to buy DB, but the bags sure would be convenient. I'm tempted to sub one month and just spend the crowns on the banker assistant. Seems cost effective if I just sub once every 3 months. I really don't need access to future DLC all the time.

I've never played an online game before. I only started to play this one as I'm an Elder Scrolls fan and it's one of the few games I can really get in to. I was part of the console beta, bought it shortly after release and subbed shortly after that.
As a console player, I'm used to buying a game and that's it. I may sometimes buy an add on but basically once I own a game I don't expect to have to pay out to play it. So for me to sub it was kind of a big deal (even aside from the console subscription to get access to an online game in the first place which was a whole other issue!).
For me, I felt like I had to justify it to myself. The added crowns helped. If you account for the money you would have spent on them anyway, the monthly cost is only £1 so that was a lot easier to accept.
The deciding factor for me was actually research time. I changed accounts leaving a character with half the traits already researched and was happy to grab at anything that would speed them up second time around.
Once the DLCs started coming in I was a lot happier staying subbed until enough crowns rolled in for me to buy outright (which I still haven't done!).
The addition of crafting bags will mean I'll happily stay subbed and probably won't bother buying the DLCs at all which means more crowns towards a banker! I guess I'm pretty much their target customer with those because they'll definitely make a difference to whether I stay subbed on not.

Oh, I did not mean "pay to win", but maybe a different profession, or...
I had games where upgrading gave bonuses like ships, but these did not imbalance the game.
Not being a crafter, would subben be meaningful to me?

Well, I have seem so many a game with potential, and not diong a damn with that potential.
A game I left is a prime example: Elite Dangerous...
Not a CLUE what's dangerous about it, it was shown on youtube movies as a space combat game, but the only deadly thing out there are suns. O_O

Hey,

i am subber and have been one since i launch..........

At first it was i believed that i was aiding in getting the game off the ground and enabling the developers to fix the bugs and build new content,

Now i sub so that i can just buy the dlc with the crowns i accumulate for the day that i stop subbing,
however with the new crafting sack i think that will be my main reason.... lol....

I figured that all i am doing is making Zenni rich but i do get MANY hours of enjoyment out of the game that i so dearly love...

I sub because it's cheaper than buying the DLC for both servers. Which wouldn't be an issue if Crown Store items were shared across both servers, but I digress...

Also to support the game, but mostly for the first reason.

That said, I'm going to let it lapse for a bit; I'm going to look to videos and whatnot to see if the Dark Brotherhood DLC and its fixes are worth resubbing for. If not, then I'll go back to SWTOR for a bit.

Think of it like an ice-skating rink. You can buy your own skates, but you will still need to pay a "subscription" to use the rink, to cover the costs of maintenance.

For a long one people asked about the lag and DC's, but not much seems to be done about that, despite you subbing.

Unsure if I want to sub just for the sake of subbing.
Franlkly, I am sure I will not do that for just that reason.

So, from what I got thusfar, there's not really a reason to sub, correct?

Yes that are all the problems. But i do not know another game that have these problems too. Especially LAG in PvP. Say me another state of the art game, that have no LAGs with large scale PvP and is no asia grinder, because i hate asia grinders with their pay to win cash shops.

In my eyes ESO is the best case at the moment, so i want to stay ESO alive. The best i can do is to support the dev's with a regular monthly income. Income from cash shops are a bit fishy. You cannot plan into the future with that income.

Well, my play is mostly lag free with no crashes. New content keeps rolling. So my money seems to be more than earning its keep.
