Dark Brother Hood DLC

With the removal of Veteran ranks I wonder if we'll experience a increase in the cap as most players (IMO) have gotten close or have reached the cap due to cake diabetes week. There were mass reports of over doses caused by the cake; which would mean a lot of players have gotten a lot of CP.

One unfortunate thing that I haven't seen changed yet was what the justice system was going to be (those who don't pay their bounty would expect another player to make sure they pay it). I doubt that'll ever be resurrected along with spell crafting/ jewelry crafting.

-Thoughts?

EDIT: For those who for some odd reason can't understand what the meaning of "Assumption" is, I'm sorry. I've assumed that most players reached the cap based on how many players said/I saw grinding through-out the week.

I hope for a lot more cap increases, both to gear level (CP 180-200?) and CP. Gives more things to do.

How do you know most players reached cap? I used the cake the entire week with scrolls and am still not close to cap.

Didn't use cake. Not at cap. IDC if they raise it.

The CP cap was going to be raised 51 points per DLC last time the topic was discussed by ZOS. No idea what the new gear cap will be. Current gear was, at last check, supposed to be converted from VR16 --> CR160. I am betting the new gear cap will jump to something like 190 or 220 at least, with the "level cap" treadmill starting up again. Unless they do something really clever like give effectiveness ranges, and idea I keep forgetting to make a post about, which would look a bit like:

CR 1-160 item, has base stats and set bonuses that go up from CR1 to CR160, but anyone at level 50 can equip it.
CR 160-320 item, same deal but must be CR160 to equip.
    CR 320-480 item, same deal.

Like the CR system itself, the set values would creep up slowly, but with a decent difference (but not insanely OP between the start and end of the range).

@Tholian1 Didn't know I gave a definitive assumption but ok let's go with that and ignore (IMO) which translates to In my Opinion, if you didn't know that already. What I had was an assumption but I guess I wasn't clear enough.

Like I've stated it's an assumption and the next sentence in my OP clearly gives you the reason why I thought so even though I tried to convey it in a more comical sense. I mean I'm not sure how else to word it when I say " have gotten close or have reached the cap due to cake diabetes week"; see how I'm referring to the 100%EXP cake week we had recently?

Not true. If you go back and listen to that video he used 51 CP as an example for any raise that would have to be done in a multiple of 3. For whatever reason 51 came to his mind first. We do not know exactly what the cap will be raised by. I believe that was Matt Frior back in January that said that in an ESO Live podcast.

@MaxwellCrystal Well ok. I don't see how you can assume most players have reached cap just because of one week of a modest XP boost. I certainly didn't reach cap.

It's the only number quoted, we have no idea what it will be, but that gives us a sense of the relative size of increase they are aiming for.

I'm actually hoping that the switch to CR will get rid of a lot of ranks of gear. I really loathe all those extra material types that never before existed in the series. Its purely an issue of elegance to me: I just don't know what the hell calcinium, galatite, etc are in the series. At least Ebony, Iron, Steel, Dwemer, Glass, etc were materials of the past. Then again I'm not a large fan of gear levels in games to begin with.

Well, you would have different mats the way I would do it, but fewer of them. You would be rewarded for gaining CP, but wouldn't have to craft more powerful gear all of the time. Crafting could be more about form and function, well, style and function, than about the level cap treadmill.

Well the fact that you made that kind of relation is racist in it's self just saying... but don't worry I changed the title just for you.

@Sindala nope you took words out of context so I decided to do the same with you but you feel it isn't fair game?

Stay on topic even though that'll come off contradicting in what I've previously said; nevertheless we have two people trolling a discussion form based on the dark brotherhood DLC. Pretty annoying.
