When will healers be able to mount their horse in Cyrodiil?

I am so tired of running behind my raid, watching everyone race off into the distance to the next keep on mounts while myself and the other healer trots behind on foot waiting to get ganked because we are stuck "in battle". I get the impression this is caused by active HOTs, but I have been stuck in "battle" and running after my raid for far longer than my HOTs would be able to tick.

Is there any way to get this to break? Any secret I'm unaware of? OR can we fix this?

    My stam characters have the same issue and I think Rally is causing it.

    But hey, we've had that for so long, it will never be fixed.

    I never PvP, so I hadn't thought it in a long time, but I remember this being an issue like since launch.

    i remember where Gina Bruno said somewhere in a post that this was intended, which in my opinion is straight total BS, I am one of those that thinks it should be changed, its on my signature under fixes that ZOS should do

    The spell that was cast or effect lingers so the caster is still "in-combat"
    -Fine

    The actual issue or problem that needs to be fixed is the players receiving the effect should also stay "in-combat" which is the actual problem. I do agree as a healer..which i am on my main and two alts. that if I cast an effect, I should be considered in combat until that heal, shield, dmg, etc effect ends.

    It's not just a healer thing. My sorc is unable to mount quite often and gets stuck running on foot behind the group

    I am a healer and I never had the faintest clue why I could not mount my horse, bear guar, senche. Of pet peeves - this is a big one. LOL. Once the spell is cast you should be able to mount. You are not in combat! Interesting to heat this might be what causes that situation.
    Celebrate for life is short but sweet for certain.

    If you guys ask for this enough we will get a patch note like this...

    Cyrodiil:

    Fixed an issue where players could mount by taking the ability to mount away while in Cyrodiil.

    The whole can't mount while in combat is dumb in the first place.
    Can't fight on mounts and if you run you can still be ganked off your mount.

    Sometimes I have to go into stealth, come out of stealth and go back to stealth before the game finally decides that I am no longer in combat. And I don't even cast HoTs anymore. No idea what determines whether you are in combat or not. Sometimes I count how many seconds it takes for the game to let me mount after all enemies are dead and most of my side has already ridden off to the distance - My best is over a minute. The most stupid occurrence is when I die, and then respawn, run out of the keep and try to hop on my horse to get back into the action, only to have the game refuse to let me mount since I am still in combat... Just another example of ZOS fail. It's been in the game since launch and ZOS has never done anything about it or even said that they were "looking into it." I don't think they know what causes it either, and have even less clue as to how to fix it.

    When they fix the combat indicator, assuming it isn't intended as is.

I do agree as a healer..which i am on my main and two alts. that if I cast an effect, I should be considered in combat until that heal, shield, dmg, etc effect ends.

    I suppose the problems is potentially trolling people by spamming heals or buffs so no one can mount.

    Eh, I've tried it all, Crouching, roll dodging, taking a potion. Nothing helps. The only thing that helps is using breath of life as your only heal and we know ZOS's stand on that!

    Love the rest of your experiences. I, too, have had those same problems :lol:

    It isn't just HoTs. If you heal, even something that is an instant heal with no linger effect, you are placed "in combat" for a good while, so you have to count down from the last time you did any heal to any player.

    It u cast...to troll, you too should be "in-combat" as well as those who have the effects.

    I've even been stuck in combat for a good while after respawning on my healplar. Death doesn't even fix it.

    It isn't just HoTs. If you heal, even something that is an instant heal with no linger effect, you are placed "in combat" for a good while, so you have to count down from the last time you did any heal to any player.

    Then the players we heal should have to wait just a long. Same goes for players whom we have attacked. If my timer is still running, then we should be combat timer twins linked by an invisible thread. If you're out, them I'm out, and vice versa.

    The same should be true in PVE as well. If the mob is dead, then any combat timers associated with that mob should die with it. I'm sick of losing out on crafting nodes because the game won't let me loot them after killing all the mobs guarding it!

    It's not just healers, it's everyone. The worst is when you are protecting a scroll runner & you kill the enemy that was attacking the scroll runner... but then can't remount & mounted enemy players sail past you intent on stopping the scroll runner while you plod along on foot mashing the 'mount' key :(

    I totally agree with the PVE issue of resource nodes not being available for harvest just because you killed a mob that was nearby. That can be so frustrating when you lose the node due to the combat timer.

    IMO there should be a map-able "cleanse" function you can activate that will end ALL your outgoing DOTs, HOTs, and any incoming positive effects.

    I agree. It is hard to believe that they intend for you to run for 2 minutes or more after all effects have expired before you can hop on your horse/guar/camel/senche.

    I'll be honest I don't think it makes sense that combat slows you down. This is a nuisance that a lot of MMO's put on us, and it isn't even logical. I could see it reasonable to make it take longer to call your horse, or to be interruptible (which it is), but I don't really understand being put in permanent longterm molasses mode while your team runs from one keep to the next before you are released.

    Not sure.

    Maybe when they stop beating the tar out of a single key.

    I mean...pretty sure the game doesn't want them breath of life spamming while on horseback, you gotta choose one or the other.

    IMO there should be a map-able "cleanse" function you can activate that will end ALL your outgoing DOTs, HOTs, and any incoming positive effects.

    If so that should be the "mount" command/button
