If you disagree with this, just imagine what we have to deal with on consoles, maybe it is possible, but I haven't even figured out a way to find out what a character name is. Only the PSN name.
I normally put significant effort into naming my characters, seems so pointless now.
So who had the brilliant idea to use account names for the group overview, healthbars etc but then use (as it should be) the character name for chat? How does that make any sense? It's immensely confusing to the point that you just have to ignore many important things that are going on in a big groups.
That's how the interface works for anyone using the game pad beta anyways. Please fix this.
Hey, on consoles you dont get character names at all, you're always seen by your account name.

Could that be caused by some addon? I see character names almost everywhere, including group overview and health bars. The only situations where I see account names are:So who had the brilliant idea to use account names for the group overview, healthbars etc but then use (as it should be) the character name for chat? One reason I never could commit to playing it on console, even though I have it. I do not carefully craft/select perfect names for my characters for them to not be known by those names. Not to mention the fact that voice-chat is the only option, and I'm less inclined to call out to or group up with some people if I have to say their awful gamertags out loud. 'Course, sometimes that works out for the best anyway.

- guild rooster
- guild chat (there is an addon which shows char names in guild chat)
- friend / ignore list
- if someone sends a whisper to my account (if he sends the whisper to my char name I see his char name)
Ah, sorry, I missed that sentance. But If your are using a part of the game that is labeled as beta, maybe just use the feedback function to tell them that it should be changed. Usually beta means that the programmers are not done with their work yet.lolo_01b16_ESO wrote: »Could that be caused by some addon? Well, as said this problem only occurs when using the game pad beta which is not an addon. But it would be great if there is an addon that fixes this issue.
