Any stage looks like crap if you are a pure(or should I say where one before vampirism) black Khajiit. I can understand skin turning pale... but fur?

Plus if you go by vampire lore. Dracula was a day walker, shapeshifter, and could change his appearance at will. So there should at least be an appearance potion or a trip to a stylist to alter appearances.

But you can add that to the list. During stories NPC's don't recognize you as a vampire or a werewolf (when in wolf form) and often ask you to help stamp them out.

I have to agree. You made the choice. Have to deal with it.

If the timers were reversed or something that would help. 30 minutes or looking reasonably normal passes by so fast. Compound it by trying to sneak if you aren't a NB or waste invisibility pots when the target you're just about to feast on gets aggro'd by somebody else. The quick timer doesn't lend a sense of urgency as much as it does frustration given the drawbacks that are already part of being a vamp in pve dungeons. @MornaBaine has had a few ideas on re-vamping the line... Hehehe, sorry couldn't help myself with that one...

I think the look of stage 4 vampirism is spot on... it looks sooo hungry

I like the blood potion idea to reduce the stages.

I'm for this. I don't necessarily think it should be a toggle like "hide helmet" but I think it should be an option somehow, because vampires should be able to pass as completely human when they're not blood-starved. It's not unheard of in the Elder Scrolls universe, and since so many NPCs already fail to recognize us as vampires or werewolves anyway (even if we shift right in front of them), might as well be able to have a reason why they fail to recognize us as such. Even better if they do react to us being stage 4 "obviously-starving-vamp." Something like "Holy Stendarr! Get away from me foul beast!" and then you have to go feed in order to continue the quest. Not perfect, but better.

Also for the "glowing yellow eye" thing for werewolves. I made a character with yellow eyes with the intent of making her a werewolf, but it would be neat if they glowed (and not all races can have yellow eyes). Of course, it would be even better if they could shift to another color if you choose pack leader or berserker...Maybe pack leader could stay the same (or turn pale blue), but berserker should be glowing red eyes (and black fur, for Sheo's sake!) And maybe they would only glow like that at night/in the dark, so you could pass as normal otherwise.

Edit: Also, for vamps, I don't know if they ever added this, I haven't played my vamp in a while, but vamps should be able to feed from sleeping NPCs without waking them or calling the guard unless they get spotted by another NPC. That's just a given, or it should be.

I agree - there should be a way to make your vamp appear as any other being of their race.

I think Stage 4 is perfect. I have a stage 4 Vamp and he looks awesome, like a demon. I never feed. I take no attempt to hide i'm a Vamp. Fire doesn't bother me so bring it on!

However, I think Stage 1 should look more normal. This would offer a choice. If you wish to look normal and hide your Vamp, you NEED to feed and stay at Stage 1. This would be fun and add a dimension to being a vamp.

I agree with Lynx7386 above. I don't think it holds weight any more to show you are a vamp.

A werewolf can be a werewolf and you have no idea until they turn. They look normal.

I don't think all stages of vamp need to look white. Stage 1 could look normal. Its an easy enough change and would add the desire to feed to see your character remain looking normal.

Telling vampire players to 'deal with it' is rude and counterproductive, in fact its hard to take such players seriously, seeing as saying such things shows a clear and present lack of knowledge of TES lore.
really the only vampire races ive seen in lore that are always reconized is the morrowind clans, which we have been given no indication that they exist in this era of Tamriellic history, every other bloodline is able to blend in with society, expecially the cyrodillic bloodline, who are difficult to discern even at stage 4 in some cases

now, i think stage 4 is fine as it is, but the other stages. well they need to look as close to as we did at creation as possible, maybe a change in the eyes, but thats it.

as for beast races, they should not change to pure white, its lazy and one of my main points of contention with the way ZOS presents vampires in this game, hell dunmer and altmer, black and yellow skin respectivly, turn white, ive heard redguards turn white too, its lazy, and frankly, irritating.

as for maintaining stage one with the above parameters, perhaps allow us to craft potions of blood, to reduce our stage by 1 each potion
i know when im roleplaying with friends, storylines lasting hours on end, i would love to just take a swig from a flask, and maintain my stage one.
