My mobility goes down the drain when using bombard. Its most effective if I can remain stationary. If a lot of movement is required, it is very unreliable.
Last I used bombard in pvp, the cc immunity was in full effect. Not sure if that is currently bugged but with the cc immunity, it prevented me from CC locking down anyone. In pve, with no CC immunity, that was bombards main advantage.
Not sure if that info can help any raid leaders develop tactics vs the bombard hordes.
You speak from the perspective of only one person using the skill. As telel would point out, yes it suffers from terrain issues at times, but these points are made moot when a dozen+ people are spamming it. If your cast fails because of elevation issues (or whatever) 5 other casts just went out from the others in the horde.
Elder Roaches Online, swear to god.my solution is to wear reactive
My solution is to continue shaming wrobel and wheeler both for giving us this disgusting meta and then deciding to ignore for months the warnings and complaints.
They haven't even come close to fixing the bugs they gave us in TG, and we're getting the DB patch on PTS in about a month. Even the GoT shame meme is too good for them.
Why a sorc should care for roots? Of course it is not a problem for you as you can streak and reposition.Shuffle, immovable pots, one dodge roll, purifying rirual, purge, rapid maneuvers, bombard too. I main a sorc I love bombard and don't even use it. Get caught with it it all the time... least of my worries, does so little damage. I hope zos takes away all abilities and just leaves heavy and light attacks... Maybe then everyone would stop complaining.

Bombard -will be the New Steel Tornado - This must be addressed before the TG gets out of the PTS Bookmark
in particularSnares can stack on top of each other making the target 100% snared meaning they can't move, can't dodge roll out of it, can't CC break it
I told them on Feb 2nd, the day before the TG hit the PTS, that Bombard and its snares were broken and would stack resulting in 100% unable to move, dodge or do anything and I was ignored....flat out ignored. After i told them everyone would be running it, and pretty much you can't move 2 feet in Cyrodill without a Bombard spammer shooting at you from the back of his raid.
I tried to save the PVP community from this absolute trash, annoyance, and overall frustration of being unable to move as no one finds that garbage fun at all...everyone assumes i was calling for a nerf to a skill because I have some personal whatever with it, and thats not true...
I wanted the skill addressed to alleviate the mounting frustrations of the majority of the PVP community, and i could clearly see the most frustrating and annoying meta yet coming on the horizon back then...and now you can see the Hens have come to roost.
I dunno why we bother even tell them about whats broke. It is not like it will get fixed anytime soon.

Sorcs care for roots cos you can only streak in the direction your char is facing, and your char can't turn around while rooted meaning a sorc can only streak in one direction while rooted. Sorcs don't really care for snares, I'm guessing that's what you meant.

Good Templars position and orient their Wrobile homes so they can toppling charge to safety, sounds like an L2P issue sorc. Have you tried slotting shuffle and incorporating it into a macro?

Yes. Thanks, I'll have to test that. If true, it's just more evidence that the direction lock on roots stealth added in IC is a bug.The-Baconator wrote: »I'm not sure if it works on PC, but on console you can streak in any direction while rooted if you go into first person.

While rooted you can pan your camera and aim your crosshair at players and hit them with single target attacks, but if you use streak while rooted you travel in the direction your character is facing not the direction your camera/crosshair is facing. So a rooted sorc can only streak in the direction their character was facing when first rooted. Get it?

It used to be possible to streak in the direction of your crosshair while rooted, but they changed it in 1.6. If you have a sorc it would be quite easy for you to test this. Town guards use talons on you if you agro them.
