@ZOS_GinaBruno But you didn't extend it 2 days you extended 1 day since the server has been DOWN for a day.
Don't be mean to Gina. It's not her fault.

No it is her fault. She can say "Hey guys we really *** up again, like 10,000 times and should try and make our player base happy because without them we are all looking for new jobs."

Yayyy! The lag fix! This is worth waiting for. So we don't have to wait in-game anymore between jerky bursts of action or live two seconds in the past so we don't realize we already died because something we didn't see killed us. I just plain get mad when I get hit with an area attack even though I was wayyyy clear of the red before I saw it go off.

What, you dare to complain, peasants? You should be thankful that such a humble Lord like me even let's you live in my lands, considering that I've payed you humbly for mistake I did myself and that burned a lot of your's wallets. That was more than enough, now get lost!

But that's actually quite wrong on many levels. This is going to sound like brown nosing, but it's unavoidable. The fact of the matter is that Gina is the one person who comes onto these forums every day and still manages to mingle with practically everyone, post to post, day after day, and still leave incredibly amusing posts like this:

Despite the fact that 90% of the people on these pages do nothing but nerdrage at her, as if she has any control over the situation. She's not the one calling the shots, you know. She's the one has the pleasure of dealing with all of us nerds when we're uptight about a video game. I'm not criticizing you guys, I'm just as big of a nerd and I rage just as much. But it's still not her fault.

Wait what? Hasty with judgement? 2 years of crap patches and *** ups is now considered too hasty? Are you serious?

Is this what passes for professionalism and good customer service today? "Oops, sorry." You know what they say about excuses. The smell is ripe here.

Do all the dolmens and world bosses. All of them, even if they're several ranks bellow you. Do a random dungeon 1/day. Do all the delves. And then do the main story quests(the ones that give you a check on silver/gold).
Ambrosia helps but isn't really needed.
This would require ZOS to have a clue about Customer Service and Support, which they so obviously don't have.Spearshard wrote: »I have to say, to all those who are like, "wow you guys are entitled." Except the last day is literally taken up by maintenance all day. I'll give them that it may not have been unavoidable. That's fine, but come to us and say "we are really sorry that took so long, we'll have the cake last until tomorrow." It is important for the health of the game and to bring in more money for the company to make sure that when you have events like this that showcase the game the go off without a hitch.

It's certainly not okay to shoot the messenger, but could you maybe relay to those responsible for the bolded portion that this is... erhrm... somewhat of a ripoff?
I get that you can't just extend stuff like that on a whim. But I'd like to point out that this is the first real event that has occurred to-date in ESO, and it was botched twice. The bottom line is that the players are suffering for ZOS's mistakes here. Believe me, I'm not trying to make this personal or act like sometimes you don't find a wrench in the gears, but it is bad practice to leave the cost to the customer.
Rip off? Cost? You didn't pay for the anniversary event. It was free. We had a good run, move on.
Except it wasn't free. Just read my last post (#77)
Oh yeah, and for the record, my game has been complete sh*# since TG went live. Half my guild can't even do a full dungeon or trial without a crash. One of my guildies can't even log in. How exactly are we to enjoy the cake?
It is her fault, in a way. Not her fault personally, but she is the representative of ZOS. She's the one representing ZOS and speaking their decisions. I know she's only speaks out what her superiors say. But her job is to represent ZOS, and through her we communicate with the company. That includes sending angry rants like this and mentioning her - so she tells her superiors what's going on.Don't be mean to Gina. It's not her fault.

And what do they showcase? A broken feature that has been added and wasted player's crown pots. Hooray!also a chance to showcase the game
Now let's be careful about terms here. An extra usually means that we get something more than should've been given. They've messed up two days, they added two days. Not more, not less. This is called compensation, not extra. So, right now them saying "that was enough" means we do not get compensation for wasted time. Totally. We get two extra days
Many people don't understand how it works, so let me elaborate this part. In any more or less serious game studio, (or any kind of game developers, I've seen gaming communities taking better care of it), there are at least two separate game servers: Development and Production. Development corresponds to what game developers should play with before rolling their updates onto Production server. That's also where testers should do at least basic test. You're telling me that they could not avoid screwing this up by running 30 seconds test to verify if all buffs stack, as they actually promised and announced?I'll give them that it may not have been unavoidable.
But I'd like to point out that this is the first real event that has occurred to-date in ESO, and it was botched twice.

If you're talking about subscribing, you purchased that product of your own volition. Nothing in the product states that you are entitled to a double xp anniversary event. You didn't pay for the game to grow, you paid for a product they put out, and you chose to do that. You're basically saying you're more entitled to the double experience than people who don't subscribe.
TL;DR You did not pay for it.

Not good for PvP, except the drops are not really random; they usually follow a port or zone change.
Does this ring a bell for anyone who actually knows what they're talking about? Could it possibly be me or Windows 10, rather than ESO-TU.
This thread may be dead, so it's the wrong place to put it; but Ms Bruno just might stop by one last time.
