I don't think the running theme of this post is to say AD doesn't have any guilds still running. There will always be guilds running in PvP. The major point a lot of people are trying to make is that the people that have been playing since launch that stuck through the horrible season 1 bugs (caltrops etc), the introduction of CP to combat softcaps, and the horrible sets added to force metas, have been all forced away.
I was lucky enough to be a major part in a guild that has played together from the beginning through all the bugs and "fixes". It's just sad that most of us are moving on while all of these new players have to discover how bad PvP can be.
I disagree. I think the running theme of this thread is that the sky is falling, when in fact there is still a vibrant, robust community of players still playing this game.
I have always said, there is no such thing as a bad party. A party is what you make of it. People are coming to ESO and saying it is a bad party because of their own personal hang-ups. I still think it is the best MMO out there, and that ZoS is doing a decent job of running the game.
It's a fantastic MMO, but its all a matter of perspective.
The lot of us that still read/post on the forums are all grumpy and angry at the lag and balance and poor performance issues that have plagued us since the light hit the dumb patches.
The problem I've noticed is that the robust community of players are either on consoles, or are new enough to PvP to not see the blatant performance issues that multiple teams of devs have told us are going to be fixed since launch. Eventually those players will either get bored with PvP, or become whatever the next FOTM ball group is. Either way, what we played 2 years ago that made us all so excited for this game isn't really there anymore, and that is really sad, because I had the most fun I have had in an MMO in a long time when ESO launched. Now, its just not there for me. But again, perspective. I'm sure ZOS is still making decent money and who knows, maybe in another year or so it might be back to the magical lag-free, large scale PvP game we all loved when it launched.

Glad to see new guilds popping up every day. Rolled with a crew today...all new people to pvp. All having a blast on TS. That was you 2 years ago! Maybe one day they can look back and say that this type of AvA was the best pvp experience they have ever experienced too!
Ahhh...the Ebb and Flows of RvR. How funny history repeats itself
Next man up!

I still have some faith in ZoS that they will see that making some more diversity in the game, build-set-gear-spell wise, will only make the game better. But my PvP guild is also plagued with some players taking a break.
Broken game is broken, we're all just waiting on something better to come out. I just wish CU would hit consoles
Console baddie.
I bet @ZOS_MattFiror would personally be putting out that fire. It just goes to show ZOS abandoned our audience long before we abandoned them.
If the crown shop didn't exist, labor and money would be going into making the game better.

Except it goes deeper than just and ebb and flow cycle. We are losing experienced players on all sides, EP is no better off. We have gone from having 3-4 strong solid raid level guilds in all three factions to a barest handful.
Just because you see a lot of bodies doesnt mean they are accomplishing anything. Hell the AD blob on trueflame mostly just charges to sej and gets farmed by whoever is in there, hours upon hours at a time.
The movers and shakers are dying out, and whats left are the mindless zergs with no direction, because leaders and experienced players are quitting left and right. I have watched four EP guilds completely disintegrate in the last 3 months, many of their players nowhere to be seen, moving to other games, giving up entirely. The handful that remain behind are mostly in the trueflame emp group or scattered through other various small guilds that really dont play much at all.
Even Darkest Requiem, one of the newer upstarts I helped form, is lacking experienced players, and we formed out of the collapse of three different guilds. Its really sad that a guild with this thin of an experience pool (we only have about 10-12 truly experienced/proven members, a handful of those date back to dawnbreaker, the rest are very green, mostly started within the last year) is one of the biggest movers and shakers in EP on Had, Azuras, and when we go to True we often accomplish a lot as well. Its telling that there just isnt anyone else out there doing things.
AD seems to be even worse off, I dont even recognize any guilds besides Telels out there, the rest are just mishmashes of whats left from the AD exodus last May.

I think most PC consumers would agree with this statement. It's clear the director's objectives don't match the customer's expectations. Just look at all the simple quality of life issues that have gone ignored in favor of crown store products.
And don't give me that crap about how separate teams develop different content. ZOS has a budget and employees have limited for time for tasks. If the crown shop didn't exist, labor and money would be going into making the game better.
I find myself logging staring at my screen a few minutes with no idea what to do bc the game is still in this unplayable state in the evenings (a problem causing most of my guild to leave back in 2014).
*Shrug*
I just care less and less i guess.

Yeah same here, most of my guild and and some friends from early on all quit in the first 6 months...However I am now back with most of them in BDO~:)

Eventually, I will either start a new guild or resurrect HK probably start a new guild when the time is right. In either case, I'm just waiting to see what shakes out of bushes this spring.
This game is young still it is just starting to go through puberty and frankly there are a lot of excess hormones floating around. I tend to solo play not because I can not lead but because of the nature of the current players.
