That is somewhat true, yea, people literally have no idea how to grind right, and then call BS on you if you say anything..

However, sometimes people screw everything on purpose, so you'll leave them alone.

ive seen this BS and it sucks, its basically wearing down the other guys patience for the spot. we either need more grinds or crown store speed up on levels.
Ive got tons of v16 and love the game but just let me buy my max lv already cant wait for vr removal

    Man you people,

last time i bothered grinding i saw a lower vet level messing up the grind, i knew he was attempting to grind so i messaged him asking if he's grinding.

He replied with yes so i then messages him back saying he's not doing to properly and he's losing exp and that i'd show him, invited him to a group and grinded for 3 hours with him.

and thats how it should be, but not everyone plays nice.

Tell them to go play Monster Hunter. They'll learn how to grind properly after that.

Youre obviously not on console and youre not in rkindeft where there are 30 people killing one mob

Don't assume that they're always grinding. A lot of grind spots are also quest areas, and people might be trying to complete the "kill x ___" or "collect x from x" phases. I grind with the best of them, but whenever I do those quests on alts, I dont give 2 figs about your grind pattern. I'm gonna kill my 5 or whatever zombies, ghosts, cats, etc. and move on.

i dont mind grinding, i get to try different things out while im in the flow of it. but im sure some other people are frustrated by the leveling system in this game, especially after doing it so many times.

we all know the grind spots are limited so why be an ass.

No, we do not. Some of us know nothing about and care nothing about grinding. Just last night, I ran across a grinding group while questing. They actually started sending whispers to me in all-caps yelling at me not to "go over the bridge." You know, the bridge where the quest marker was sending me.

I'm sorry, who's being an ass?

I've remarked on this once in another thread.
After being told on one occasion to "get out, this is MY grind" in a dwemer ruin where I was trying to do a quest, and had my own questing hampered by jackasses, then as far as I'm concerned "grinding etiquette" can be stuffed firmly and fully where the sun doesn't shine.

I'm a little tired of being told what I can and can't or what I should and shouldn't be doing by over inflated egotists in the game who seem to think they own mobs or areas. At one point, I always tried to be polite, considerate and agreeable where others were clearly grinding, but having never received such considerations in return, I no longer give a stuff about grinding, and I will kill everything that I have to, to finish my objectives.

Oh grinding.....The absolute worst thing about ESO.

Such lazy crappy design. VR ranks should have been gone last year. Thank god they are SUPPOSEDLY going away with the Dark Brotherhood DLC.

But then we will have to deal with Champion Points; Will gear be locked based on Champion Points? Will new players have to grind yet again?

Done plenty of grinding myself in the past, back when vr14 was the max level. Had my favourite spot. Learned there was no etiquette whatsoever when it comes to players pulling mobs. There were a multitude of times when other players would come along & pull mobs away I had started attacking, in the circuit I was running.
Fortunately I found a spot far less known, because I could not be bothered gnashing teeth over unimportant things.
If I'm completing a quest while other players are grinding the spot, tough luck, your grind is going to be interrupted so the quest can be finished, as experienced in Greenshade during the Easter break.

;-; if you watch videos and find these spots how do you not know how to pull the mobs

Problem is some of you so called "pros" run as fast as you can and try to clear all the mobs before others can get to them, soooooooo , "others" have to double back pull whatever they can in the wrong "order" sometimes , just suck it up , you don't own the mobs , maybe ask others to join instead of just running in a group of 2.
The problem is you baddies are grinding new toons you don't even know how the game works and call animation canceling bad

Not sure why but its irritating.

LMAO its everyone NOT playing your way thats a baddie...I bet the sunlight burns and you struggle to understand why people wrinkle their noses and look funny at you in real life.

I hate to break it to you guys, but ginders (or questers for that matter) have no claims to any mobs in the game. It's practically public property--anyone can fight them.

Furthermore, there is no "correct" way to grind (optimal, yes, but not correct) so you shouldn't get into too much of a hissie fit when a person is pulling/killing mobs in whatever fashion just because it doesn't live up to your standards.

You can offer advice, but never should you try to enforce. Trying to enforce it for whatever reason to a person who wants little to do with you (as opposed to say, joining your hardcore group) makes you little more than an outright pri** at best, a harasser at worst.

But there is a correct way to grind, otherwise it's not a grind it's a crawl.I get what your saying otherwise on all other points.

"My friend has cancer" is one I get a lot, when I'm questing and someone is grinding on the quest spot. Be mindful of where you grind. And yes, watch the videos, but beware there are some awful ones out there.

LoL... Learn how to grind you! Nah, I mess people up all the time, mostly because I tend forget where I am and what I'm doing there, or even how I got there in the first place.

Time to reveal my MMO noobness :p

There's a right way to kill mobs for xp besides.... just killing them? I guess I'm too old school to think of stuff like this but I seem to do just fine by just going out and killing things in no particular way or in whatever place happens to be convenient at the time.

This thread makes me sick.... on BOTH sides of the argument.

Grinders: It isn't your damn game, suck it the [snip] up and understand that people aren't as "1337" as you OR that they MIGHT be doing quests in YOUR personal grind stop. Rather than jump to hate tell, ask to group, or let them know that you are not questing. "Do you even grind, brah?"

Questers: Understand that this game is ridiculous when it comes to 2nd/3rd/etc play through and don't deliberately troll people just because "you can't call dibs". You can still see a group of 2 people grinding, don't just follow them around hoping in on their kills or trying to pull stuff away (yes, people will taunt enemies off you to mess with you AoEing).

TL/DR: Work together and realize people are people, don't be [snip] to each other.

Sounds like the old "Hardcore vs. casual" debate with a new twist.

Everquest is king when it comes to grinding, mob pulling and just about everything else in a MMO. I like playing ESO,but it's nothing compared to Everquest of 1999. Most of you today wouldn't be able to handle how hard Everquest was. You would rage quit. I'm sick and tired of all the hand holding in today's MMOs.

the "pros" do this because we dont want the spawn to rubberband back to there spots. maybe the "others" need to watch more videos or ask before jumping in and messing up whats goings on? ive never turned down a group for grinding,it only helps everyone. but if you come running in like capt erratic ass, im gonna say something to you.

Say something to what end? You hold no right over anyone in the game and can't dictate to anyone, you can help someone of they want it but if they want to be capt erratic ass then more power to them, they've paid the money, it's their game.

If I'm in a zone questing or to pick up mats then ill do that and go, I will kill pretty much everything I come across though. I'm oblivious to the best grinding zones tbh but if I see a group or someone killing a squad of enemies ill leave them to it unless clearly struggling but I will move past and start ahead of them if that's where the quest is taking me and I will take on whatevers there. Because I'm oblivious to the best grinding spots though doesn't mean I need to watch more videos and to know whas going on in the way you play the game and what you are doing in a specific area.
