We have an update for you on this issue. Please see our post, here. (Also quoted below.)ZOS_JessicaFolsom wrote: »Hi everyone,
When we pushed the anniversary event live last night, we discovered that the Jubilee Cake XP buff stacking was not working as we intended. We are currently testing a fix that, once implemented, will allow for the intended XP buff stacking so you can reach a total possible increase of 185%. We plan to roll out this fix tomorrow (4/5). We’ll provide the exact time tomorrow, and notify everyone when the hotfix is complete.
We will also be extending the ESO anniversary event by two days, so it will now end on Tuesday, April 12th at 8PM EDT.
In this post, you’ll find a brief explanation of how XP buff stacking works in ESO, how it is supposed to be working with the Jubilee Cake XP buff versus what is actually happening in-game right now, and what we’re doing to fix the current issue.
How XP Buff Stacking Works in ESO
In ESO, all XP buffs stack with each other, with the exception of Psijic Ambrosia and the Crown Experience Scroll. Not counting the Jubilee Cake, these are the different types of XP buffs currently in the game.It is currently possible to stack XP buffs for a total possible increase of 85% for most types of content. There is normally a cap in place that prevents any event (a quest completion, a monster kill, etc.) from granting more than 10% of your total level value. For the anniversary event, that cap was raised from 10% to 30%.
- Alliance War Keep buff – 5% XP buff (applies only to monster and player-character kills)
- Crown Experience Scroll – 50% XP buff (does not stack with Psijic Ambrosia)
- ESO Plus – 10% XP buff
- Grouping buff – 10% XP buff
- Psijic Ambrosia – 50% XP buff (does not stack with Crown Experience Scroll)
- Rings of Mara buff – 10% XP buff
- Exploration Trait XP buff – Varies depending on how many armor pieces have the Trait (applies only to exploration XP)
How the Jubilee Cake XP Buff Works
The Jubilee Cake buff for the ESO anniversary event should be stacking with the following XP buffs:With the Jubilee Cake buff, you should be getting an additional 100% plus the total possible 85% detailed above, for a grand total of 185%* as the highest possible XP buff increase during the anniversary event. That is not currently happening, though, and the percentage is capping out at 100%. We’re looking into why, as that is not intended.
- Alliance War Keep buff
- Crown Experience Scroll OR Psijic Ambrosia
- ESO Plus
- Grouping buff
- Rings of Mara buff
- Exploration Trait XP buff
*Please note: The Alliance War Keep XP buff applies only to monster and player-character kills, and the Exploration Trait XP buff applies only to exploration XP
As part of this hotfix, we will also be changing the Jubilee Cake buff so that it is not removed upon player-character death—this will make it a bit more useful in Cyrodiil and Imperial City.
Thank you all for your patience and dedication—now let’s eat some cake!

Well, hopefully my PSA on day 1 came soon enough for them not to blow their whole week's worth yet, and they now have an extra 2 days to use them with this event.
Plus no loss of the buff on death. Now you can grind worry-free in PVP zones.
That definitely seems like a plus to me, and I was one who burned 1 XP scroll and 2 Ambrosia before I realized the issue and took the time to post about it.

They are extending the Cake for two extra days... I'd say that's a fair compensation. Further, they can still use those unused Ambrosia Pots after the fix is implemented tomorrow, 4/5... so it's not like a total loss... you're getting two extra days AND the issue is being resolved to provide the full buff for the remainder of the time.
This works out awesomely for me because I took an extra day off (tomorrow) because I have to work the weekend and wanted an extra day to take advantage of the XP boost... but now it seems I'll have two extra days to use the Cake as I have next Mon/Tue off.

Friend, I really don't feel like derailing the positive turn this has taken by getting into a *** for tat over whether there is some arbitrary threshold under which people aren't entitled to grievances over financial loss. Under that flawed premise no grievance would be relevant unless it totaled in the millions, if you happened to be a billionaire.
I am simply happy to see this come to the best possible resolution. A confirmed correction of the problem AND an additional TWO days on the event!HoloYoitsu wrote: »I'll give you my PayPal, feel free to send me $5 for nothing. Kinda brings it into perspective doesn't it?

MornaBaine wrote: »It's not acceptable. The people who used Ambrosia Potions or Crown Store XP scrolls are still ripped off with this supposed "fix." So ZOS needs to either award the XP they should have been given or, at a minimum, REPLACE the scrolls AND the potions.

If $5 is that much to you then maybe you might want to rethink your priorities. I mean are you homeless? trying to figure this out? You have to panhandle that $5?

If by tomorrow they have not made an announcement letting everyone know that the XP that should have been gained from Ambrosia Potions and Crown Store XP Scrolls is, in fact, being applied to all affected accounts, OR that they REPLACE the scrolls and potions that people used for nothing, I would call customer service. And put in ticket after ticket. And maybe go to other gaming sites and report what has happened. Because unless the company takes ownership of this debacle and does the ethical thing and makes it right, you have been ripped off and defrauded. And that is my advice to everyone who was affected by this.

LOL entitlement, wanting the xp boost provided by scrolls paid for with real currency to actually work. Seems legit. Zos can keep their damn cake just give me the money I paid for a service which did not work back, like seriously how is this so hard for you to understand, wake up to yourself.

exactly they didn't stack as it was intended and advertised on there page. I want to ask you did you understand what common sense is?
I would contact your CC company and dispute the charges for the Crowns spent. However you acquired them.
