Clarification on what determines the final damage?

Scenario 1: Prox det is on the back bar with 3k spell damage. The det doesn't go off until you are on your front bar with 4k spell damage. Is the det going to hit based off the 3k spell where it was started or the 4k spell where it finished?
Scenario 2: You activate prox det, then use structured entropy for the spell damage buff before the det goes off. Does the det hit at the buffed or unbuffed spell damage?

✭✭✭✭✭The damage is calculated from your stats at the time the damage is dealt.
This is how all damage in the game works, including damage over time abilities. If you swap bars and buff up, you could see your DoT ticks get bigger halfway through.
