This might have been a valid excuse when Customer Service was fielding lots of phone calls QQing about 'forced respec", but SURPRISE, there is no more telephone CS to be overwhelmed. Are we to believe we're forced to pay for respecs so the CS email doesn't get overwhelmed by QQ? A poll on the topic of respec was OVERWHELMING in favor. zos is just lame. They are like little kids, responding to the shiny thing in front of them instead of adults able to look at the bigger picture and make decisions with a plan.

We have the minority that didn't want the free respec to thank ... because they couldn't remember their skill point allocations and morphs. In addition to that, the respec scrolls were made available in the Crown Store which was enough for ZOS to tip the scales against free respecs in the future.

Hopefully, ZOS will reconsider this for future large content updates and fixes ... or at least give each character the choice of whether they want to respec for free or not.

Moral of the story:

Stop crying about ever little thing that doesnt jive with how YOU would like it. Some of you guys come off as impulsive and unable to distinguish between a request and a fix. Half of you havent put in a fraction of the time daydreaming about your ideal changes compared to the time the devs have invested creating even a single feature in the game.

The culture of this community is one of immaturity, self-entitlement, and self-righteousness. All this because you pay the same amount it would cost me to buy a family pack of Hotpockets and two 12 packs of mt dew. Honestly, it sickens me and I feel the community has bigger issues than the game atm.

ZOS is hoping we will forget that no free respec was offered this time though free respecs were offered in the past when changes of this magnitude were made.

This seems like a case of l2crownstore. All answers to your ills are in crown store, all answers to your complaints are in crown store.

There is no Zuul only Crown Store.

be careful what you complain about, atm you have the option of paying to respec with gold, ZOS could remove that option in favour of the respec scrolls from the crown store.

morrowind and oblivion did not have the option to respec, skyrim you either had to get the skill to 100 or use dragon souls, most games that allow respecing have some sort of gold/credit charge.

I don't mind free or paid respecs either way, honestly, but I see where some people do. I see the reasoning for both. I think the DEVs are doing what they think is right.

For new players, one of your goals should be to make as much gold as you can while lvling up. It is easy to make gold in this game.

Agreed. Gold is so easy to get in this game. I get 3k gold a day on one character. No big deal.

If this is the OPs biggest ESO issue he is dealing with then things are good for him.

Maybe the majority of the people that complained had no clue it was coming. Not everyone watches the live feeds, nor do they come to the forum. I think it would just be easier to say "You get this one free because we made some big changes..." AND if they made the system similar to how the CP system works.

I like how the CP system works... you hit the redistribute button, everything stays the same, you can move points around, and finally confirm
