reduce the population caps in Cyrodiil again, by 50% or so because we want a proper PvP in this game.
also decrease the walls/doors health by 50% to adapt with players decrease
and the NPCs health by 50%
Cyrodiil campaigns cannot handle the amount of players on the current states
you might also want to make new trailers for ESO PvP, not as 300 players fighting around a keep, as 8vs8 fighting around a keep, because otherwise it'll be
embarresing to advertise a game trailer with lag and fps drops
PvP is a slide show
i dont see the players moving, i see them teleporting
when i click "W" or "S" or whatever key, my character do not move forward or backward. it starts to moonwalk forward or backward

    I have been saying this for months aswell. Cyrodiil runs like a charm even with 24men ballgroups rolling on each other and 40players on the screen, WHEN POPULATIONS ARE 3BARS.

    Please reduce the population cap to what 3bars actually is, then add another campaign and it will be a great step in the right direction. @ZOS_BrianWheeler

    they should reduce pop if they cant fix lag but npc and wall are fine. just run 2 seige each instead of 90% standing around not helping.

    I know the caps used to be so high! Back when the game worked and groups like Hijinx could run their pain trains with out the server having a seizure.

    Pretty sure they're doing the exact opposite as they just recently effectively removed all but 2 campaigns on PC NA. Dropping the caps in those campaigns would necessitate adding more back in so people can actually play.

    ZOS has taken all your feedback to heart and determined that the best way to achieve this while maintaining the all important immersions is to reduce the number of PvP players in the game, rather than reduce the pop caps.

    I believe this must be one of the "under the radar" successes of ESO that Matt Firor was referring to.

    The lag is frustrating, but reducing the scale of PvP battle is not the answer. Doing so takes all of the fun out of Siege warfare. 8v8 siege on a keep is on my list of favorite things to do, right after nailing my d*ck to a table.

    Scale back animations in PvP? Not as pretty, but surely relief on resources.
    Create seams in the Cyrodiil map more frequent, maybe one per Keep region. each run on its own hardware. Perhaps borrowing capacity from adjacent zones when one becomes highly populated? This could cause issues with exploiting brief transitions between seams, but may be the lesser of two evils.

    I know a lot of the allure of this game is the large scale PvP combat promised, with siege equipment and fortifications.

    When run correctly, organized (large) groups are highly effective and lots of fun. We're all feeling the lag, but please don't suggest fewer players.
    It is not your ability, so much as your willingness to do what is right that will set you apart from the rest.

    Agreed, game runs much better at 3 bars so reducing the cap to that level and opening another campaign makes sense.

    However, IC is a wild card here and really needs to separated from campaign population as it has no influence on the campaign objectives anyway.

    IC Population counts towards population for one and only reason, ZOS can say our hardware/software able to place XYZ players in a PvP zone (one campaign) and they want that number to be as high as possible

    Make a campain where the population cap is one player per alliance. Reduce the map size a bit.

    Make another campaign where the population cap is 6v6v6. Again reduce the population size to around one keep.

    Make them instanced and easy to enter when everyone is queued up.

    PvP is fixed.

    WoW, as much as i dislike it, it had a map called alterac valley with siegelike gameplay in it and big numbers of players.

    You even could do pve in it to summon pvp monster that pushed for ur faction.
    That worked. It was like 50v50 or something.

    reducing the pop caps does not help, they are allready so low that a single zerg guild can nearly fill the caps by them selves...

    Guys lets be real its been two years zos isn't going to magically fix the lag. They only thing they can do is limit the amount of stress we can put on the servers, so they should reduce the dang population caps. As an extra bonus that would mean they would probably add another campaign or two so we all still got room to pvp. Stop being stubborn to change this lag is horrible and small scale pvp is actually really fun if you give it a try you will like it. I really feel this actually has a chance at working and they might not even have to reduce by 50%. Maybe they could even leave one MEGA server where the population cap is really high so people that don't mind lag can rubber band to their hearts content.

    Perhaps 1 server where the cap goes to 1 bar, 1 where it goes to 2 bars, and one where it goes to the current cap.

    1 population bar in Cyrodiil is near no PvP, and its not good in ESO to have such campaign (keep states would rarely change unless walls/doors/ NPCs HP gets lowered.
    2 population bar equals more or less 15 people fighting 20 people somewhere on the map, when that fight ends.. well.. wait 10 minutes until another fight pops?
    2/3/3 population bars gives best PvP with nice performance ATM. this is where eso can shine/be advertised xD
    locked 3faction population your gameplay changes... click 5 times to enter a keep, 2 hard clicks on keyboard to change weapon bars.. its really horrible.

    What exactly did they do that killed the servers like this?

    I would fear having the population cap lowered because there would be even fewer conflicts on the map. Fights are already hard to find these days if you don't want to go to the 40v40 at Chalm / Nikel / Alessia bridge.

    I would love to see no lag, no AoE caps, no VD, no proxy, and mild dynamic ulti gen. This game would be INCREDIBLE.

    I would fear having the population cap lowered because there would be even fewer conflicts on the map. Fights are already hard to find these days if you don't want to go to the 40v40 at Chalm / Nikel / Alessia bridge.

    I would love to see no lag, no AoE caps, no VD, no proxy, and mild dynamic ulti gen. This game would be INCREDIBLE.
    They spent like 6+ years developing an MMO without any kind of built-in protection against cheating of all kinds and then after release implemented some *** that first broke PvP completely (it honestly was like 3-5fps for everyone) and later left it in the state it's currently in.

    Go figure.

    Why not? when all populations are 3bars, performances are amazing and we get great fights anyway without searching too much. This is what matters.
