Veteran Maelstrom Arena Questions

Just had a few questions about Vet Maelstrom Arena:
1) When do the weekly leaderboards reset every week?
2) Are the leaderboards only the top 100?
I ask because I am a little confused… After A LOT of trial and error I recently completed vet maelstrom for the first time this past Saturday (two days ago) on my Magicka NB on PS4. My score was abysmal (like 377) since it was about a 5 hour run, but I got a precise maelstrom bow from the chest. I ran it a second time yesterday (Sunday) and did it in about 3 hours with a score of 167k (no weapon from the chest). I looked at the listed leaderboard for NB and the list was numbered 1-100. #100 on the list had a score around 375k (well above mine). I logged off and logged back a couple hours later, maybe 7:30pm CST. I received a mail with the Maelstrom Tank Sword and the Maelstrom Shield with a message like “rewards for your efforts in Maelstrom Arena”.
Why did I get this? I am definitely not on the top 100 leaderboard, and I thought you only got rewards if you were?

✭✭✭✭✭No, post #2 is incorrect. You still need a score good enough for the weekly.
On NA/PC, the weekly leaderboards close on Sunday at 8PM EDT (UTC -4). The top 100 scores on the weekly leaderboard will get a reward mail the next time the character logs (or relogs) after the close.
The leaderboards reopen 12 hours later, on Monday at 8AM EDT (UTC -4). Any scores during that 12-hour period will not count.
What most likely happened was that you were looking at the scores for the all-time leaderboard. There is a separate leaderboard for the weekly that resets every week--make sure you are looking at the right leaderboard. Of course, if the weekly board doesn't even fill up, then any completion that has a score will get you a reward.

Not everyone runs vMA weekly, it's a chore for most people. So usually a decent score is enough to earn you a spot on the weekly.Server: PC - North America - Daggerfall/Ebonheart

✭✭✭✭✭The score needed to survive the weekly varies.
On NA/PC, the Templar and DK weekly boards have never filled, so any completion on those classes that has a score (i.e., not one resumed from a save, after TG) will get you on. The Sorc and NB boards usually fill up these days, but even that changes. A few weeks ago, you needed a 350K or better to survive on the Sorc weekly board on NA/PC, but this past week, the Sorc board didn't even fill up and any score would've sufficed.
People run the weeklies as a way to farm the weapons. And once they get the weapon they are looking for, they probably will stop, so the weekly board is usually pretty easy to get on because it's mostly just the people who are still bothering to farm for weapons.Nightfighters ― PC/NA and PC/EU

I must be looking at the wrong one. A couple months ago when i was grinding dungeons for Nerein'eth helms I checked the leaderboards and the last 30 or so had scores of <1000.
Now that I have the gear to compete, when I checked last week the 100th on the list was like 375k. I thought, "Wow, the competition has really stepped up in the last couple months". I must've been looking at all-time leaderboard.
