You kick someone because they refuse to listen to you and the rest of the group and are ruining the duengeon for everyone.
You kick then for shoutting at you for always dying and wiping the rest of the group.
And again whenni kicked the other dps was with the permition of the rest of group. Not only my opinion

Hey some people just don't like being yelled at. Maybe if you calmly helped him out it would have ended differently. And it is kinda hard to understand the point of this post when its confusing to read with the mistakes in it.

The OP said he eventually lost his cool, and my thought is that's not a time to be kicking someone. And even if there is a vote mechanism, the decent thing to do (in addition to explaining the fight if you know the mechanics, when either through word or deed another player clearly does not), before kicking someone is to politely asked them if they may be replaced. Hell, I've offered to be replaced when clearly I was having a hard time of it.

Anyway, yelling at the guy with the crown by his name is sometimes a bad idea.

You dont kick someone who ran through the WHOLE dungeon with you thats a waste of time if you want a new group then you leave

I really think the only thing to be learned from this is to immediately leave bad pugs or kick incompetent ppl, saves everyone time and trouble.

That's what I do and it has surely saved me a lot of hassle.
Wipe on any first boss or trash? I'm out.
See someone post his stylish quest reward that he actually wears? Kick or I'm out depending on the situation.

I've had PUGs that were so bad that I did 80 % of all damage, while killing all adds, healing myself and staying alive, rezzing others and taking care of mechanics.

Many people are grateful for being supported and shown how to do things. But if ppl don't listen and don't observe basic mechanics I think it is absolutely right to kick them.
Just be sure to find out early enough to not waste anyone's time.

Depends on what caused the wipe. If you see that the "tank" is a guy with 16k hp, no shields and no taunt, dds cant do more than 2-3k dps (its noticeable even without group dps meter ;) ), or healer that only heals himself, and this dungeon contains harder bosses than the first one, leaving is a wise decision.
Or, for example, real story - there was a pug for vDarkshade, dds didnt have any aoes and one of them was just spamming bow light attacks. Surprisingly, he had the highest level in group. I was healing. After the first miniboss, which took forever to kill, I realized that we're not going to kill the next bosses and the dds wouldnt listen. Dont think that staying in group would be a nice decision in that situation... Listening to all "heal me more!", "wtf is with that healer, she couldnt outheal cave collapse on bloodspawn" (also real story from 1.5 when I wasnt playing heal/dd yet), "I play as I want, so I will be using Puncture as my main dps ability... What the hell, why did I die? HEALER!"
I play this game for more than a year, I join pugs quite often and I from my experience "extremely bad player that is extremely friendly" is a mere myth. Well, I dont know, maybe they're friendly to their friends, but some of the most rude people I ever met in this game were those low dps dds that expect others to carry them. They might seem "elitist" to some people since they can copy builds from the internet, but they always have 2 specific traits: they dont wanna pay attention to their group and surroundings, even on the most basic level (use abilities to dps, dont stand in red etc) and they dont treat the group like equals, like real people. Which means they dont care how the group finishes the dungeon, they want the gold key so the group must get said gold key for them, without them participating. No matter what.
Friendly players, on the other hand, are usually willing to cooperate, not having a top notch build is not an issue in most cases when a player, well, plays smart and cares about teamwork.

First of all, i love the new random duengeon finder, i havent encounter any problems with it... only one..
And that is only one person that has the lead of the group. And this wouldnt be such a bad thing if people were a bunch of *** that rather kick people instead of learning...
This is what happened today :
So the gold plegde was The Banished cells.. so since im a tank i can find a group pretty fast via queue.
We got into the duengeon the wiped on every single boss until the last one.. in each i lost my patient and kicked the guy (after consulting with the rest of the group). We found a replacement pretty fast and everything was doing fine but we were strugglin with the last boss... So for the 4th time today i explained the tatics to defeat him..
The new dps that just joined got the lead somehow, but the he kept on dying by standing in the fire.. again i lost my patient and told him to get out of the god damn fire and kill the adds instead of dps the boss.
The guy kicked me. I was in that duengeon for 1.30h , teaching people how to do it and trying to be helpfull and i got kicked because some dumb guy got the lead!
In the end i didnt finish my pledge and i have to go work so im not gonna finish it today.
    My suggestion :
Add a vote to kick instead of 1 person having all the power. If the group thinks someone should leave they will vote yes, if no they'll vote no .
I lost 1.30h of the small time i have in my hands to play because of something stupid like this.

Pugs are bad news, play with a set amount of people. Add good players to your friend list and put notes beside them which tell you what class, role and how good they are with also other information and in no time when you go to do content you can open your list and see a long list of people who are actually able to play the game. Dont pug in other words, or at least only pug until you have a full list of people who are not potato at the game.

Also good luck with all the people on the forums who think its "elitest" to not want to waste real life time doing content. Most dungeons are 10 mins or less runs with decent players...

    That's a feature I loved in Final Fantasy 14.
If someone wasn't pulling their own weight or was causing problems, the group had the option to kick them. It wasn't perfect because if that person was with a friend(s), it would be impossible to do but still, it was a better system then what is currently in place. Another feature that was on FF14, that I personally enjoyed but others will disagree with, is that if you just straight up left a group in the middle of a dungeon, you'd receive a 45 minute penalty and couldn't queue up for anything at all until the penalty was over. That way, you wouldn't get the same guy over and over again in queue next time around.

I don't like joining Group Finder on my NB healer because I have been kicked for being a NB and not a Templar before and I personally don't believe that to be fair at all.

Well, there is elitism in this game, but mostly its upside down elitism - players who dont give a s*** about other players are more equal than those who carry them. And god forbid if they refuse to do it, because kicking or leaving a person who wastes other's time and doesnt want to do anything about it, is so immoral >.>

This forum is filled with super egoistic entitled bad players who DEMAND that you carry them. It's aparently expected that you waste your time with them, and god forbid you tell them to improve or at least try to be good because they don't need to be good, because "dmg is not needed".

    I hate those DDs.

    And on topic:
The LFG group system really needs some work, one thing beeing votekick, another beeing a ready check before the group is formed.

What if somebody is brand new to the dungeon, they shouldnt be kicked because they dont know the mechanics yet of the fights. Every person here was new at one point and me as a returning player, there are a couple dungeons i have never done so yeah i may cause the group to wipe simply because i have never seen the fight before. I did Ash the other night and we breezed through it pretty much, i was only vet 4 but i did die on one fight simply because i didnt know the fight well. Only time i died though through the dungeon. So i think its ridiculous if somebody leaves group over one wipe.

I lost 1.30h of the small time i have in my hands to play because of something stupid like this.
Thank you all for the attention (sorry for any spelling mistakes)

Pugs are bad news, play with a set amount of people. Add good players to your friend list and put notes beside them which tell you what class, role and how good they are with also other information and in no time when you go to do content you can open your list and see a long list of people who are actually able to play the game. Dont pug in other words, or at least only pug until you have a full list of people who are not potato at the game.

Also good luck with all the people on the forums who think its "elitest" to not want to waste real life time doing content. Most dungeons are 10 mins or less runs with decent players...

Yeah most people think i was a douch

This forum is filled with super egoistic entitled bad players who DEMAND that you carry them. It's aparently expected that you waste your time with them, and god forbid you tell them to improve or at least try to be good because they don't need to be good, because "dmg is not needed".

    I hate those DDs.

    And on topic:
The LFG group system really needs some work, one thing beeing votekick, another beeing a ready check before the group is formed.

Totally agree with you.. But the system is new and zos has more important things to work on.. Let's give time!v
