This run was done by some friends of mine so I know the video was uploaded the same day they did VDSA. So to answer the question: it was thieves guild patch.

First off, well done. Color me impressed. Really like the strategy. Can't believe we never just tried stacking on him like that before.

Forgive my ignorance. Just trying to figure out what all is going on in this video. I see the buffs and DoTs going down. I can't tell what all the healer is doing, and can't quite sort out how you managed some of the enemy actions.

Firstly, it looks like the fire circles just went away after their initial burst. Did your team do something to negate the fire circles as you four do not seem to be taking damage beyond the initial burst? If so, how did you get rid of the fire? Maybe it is hard to see with the caltrops, but it doesn't look like the fire is still there?

Second, what did you do to stun the two adds like you did?

Third, are all three of you running berserker wolves or are one of you pack leader (seems guy on right is glowing as if empowered)? If there some sort of synergy amongst the wolves?

Fourth, any insight into what the healer is doing for the group other than trying to contribute to the DPS? Hard to see his/her actions and can't tell what heals, buffs, and utility are being applied.

Lastly, I know how damn powerful wolves can be. That said, would this strat work (albeit with a slower kill) with non-wolves?

Hope you don't mind sharing some of your secrets. Regards~

1. If you do DPS the boss fast enough, he will skip the fire phase, if you dps him SUPER fast he will also skip add phases.
So basically, If you manage to drop him to the next pullphase before the adds spawn, then they will not spawn at all.

2. When the Boss starts his pulling phase the adds will be automatically stunned.

3. All run Berserker, I think the glow was from a CP perk but not rly sure lol.

4. He uses Aggressive warhorn, Spellpowercure (set), combat prayer and tanks the boss. (tho tanking well, he only has to block like 3-4hits because afterwards the boss is always in pulling phase anyway)

5. You can for example do this with Overloading sorcs.
with Non-wolf/overload you can skip fire, but it will be quite hard to skip add phases. It is possible tho.

What we used to do when we had a lot less dps, we used to kill first adds and then we bursted boss with ultis from 50% to 25% so the 2nd adds will not spawn.
