Update - New patch notes claim to have nerfed Akatosh Scales
Akatosh’s Blessed Armor: Fixed an issue where the blind debuff applied by this item set could be used on certain boss monsters.
Its okay. Everyone will recognize this "fix" as not just a failure in that it shows how pathetic the game development is with regards to tanking, but, more importantly, the general failure that the developers have in their confused priorities and usual failure at communication.
Hey all, we hear your disappointment and frustration over the recent fix to the Akatosh's Blessed Armor set, but it was just that--a fix to a bug. The set was never intended to allow players to blind boss monsters. All boss monsters are supposed to have a buff that grants them immunity to certain debuffs. In this case, the armor set was incorrectly bypassing that rule where no other sets or blind debuffs were. We are continuing to look at fun and meaningful ways to improve the tanking role in ESO.
Well the dev team doesnt have to look hard for suggestions. Even if blind on bosses isnt intended, and i could argue that blind should be able to affect bosses, but even if it shouldnt, then what about all of the other bugs and crappy parts of tanking that are allowed to fester for patch after patch?
"It's always funny how you design things with certain play styles in your head and then player just do what they want, which is great, it's why we make games like this." - @ZOS_MattFiror 2014

Very interesting. Does Akatosh work on bosses though? Is there a way to test it? I thought they were immune to those kinds of debuffs (maim as well).

EDIT: Wait what? Akatosh is level 49..?

it's a solid build. tho mixing something Akatosh worhipped with a worm cult item and dwemer is a rather touchy topic :p
PLEASE REPLY TO ME WITH @dsalter otherwise i'm likely to miss the reply if its not my own thread

Its a cool idea. I was surprised to see Akatosh's on there. It makes me a little sad as well when I consider that its like a better version of the Blinding Flashes templars use to have.

If this works on bosses, that's 5 seconds of no damage with a 10 second cool down. It might be worth it very much so.

The new physical resist passive in the CP line and the absolute vitiating of armor rating by the new trial armor debuff mechanic have gone a long way to making the armor rating stat small potatoes.

The scale of what you do depends what you are doing. I think that tanks should use both magic and stamina skills regardless of what they do though.

Yeah. There are great magicka skills (templar) for tanking, and great stamina ones too. The only problem with a hybrid is that my dps sucks a lot.

The level of hybrid being used should probably be limited in PVP. My stam in PVP is for blocking and reverberating bash only.

I'm happy with the damage that I do. I rely on stacking up many effects to kill someone, but do well in 1v1s
