I would say yes, definitely. I can't imagine being bothered by other players in a true TES game. I'm having a silly fun in ESO, but it's not even comparable to how much I enjoy single player TES games. No farming, no grinding, no leaderboards, etc. Just peace and quiet, me and NPCs.
I agree; however, I am almost certain there will be a co-op mode this time around.

Like Fallout 4?
I doubt it has co-op. Not worth the development complications.
Just curious, what open world RPGs have co-op? I can't think of any. DA:I had a completely separate MP mode like ME3.

Won't happen, everyone has this convulted Idea that Zenimax Owns Bethesda and ZOS somehow has owenrship or pecking order rights over Bethesda and thats imply not true at all...infact nothing could be farther from the truth.
Fact Is:
1. Zenimax Media was created by Bethesda founders Christopher Weaver and Robert Altman.
2. Weaver made Altman CEO of Zenimax Media
This means Zenimax Media is actually nothing more then Bethesda Corporate and was created to manage the IP, acquiring new stuff, and the corporate day to day stuff so Bethesda could focus on developing games...in other words Zenimax Media handles the business, taxes, etc side of the company so Bethesda can make products.
in reality ZOS is a studio hired by Bethesda Corporate(Zenimax Media) to make an MMO for them with one of their IP.
When ESO announced their B2P go look at the videos, go see who was watching over Firor's shoulder during that interview...Pete Hines VP of Bethesda...Bethesda has always been calling the shots from day one, ZOS and that studio are simply employees of Bethesda.
In business its quite common for larger companies to create corporate entities under a different name to pool certain resources under in order to make managing all the companies resources easier.
As Pete Hines said in an interview:
https://www.vg247.com/2013/06/13/todd-howards-next-game-looking-awesome-dont-expect-news-on-it-anytime-soon/
“Zenimax Online Studio is an MMO shop,” said Hines. “They’re making an Elder Scrolls MMO and that is 100% unrelated to [the single-player series]. Todd Howard, at this point, has earned the right to do what the hell he wants; nobody gets to tell him different and nobody gets to dictate to him what he gets to do.
“You’re laughing because you know it’s true. He gets to do whatever he wants. Him and his team are moving forward with the stuff that they want to work on and where they want to go next in making games. I get to see it and it’s already really awesome, but it’s probably helpful to note that anyone who thinks that what he’s working on next is going to be talked about soon doesn’t understand game development.
“Give these guys time and space: expect it never and be surprised if it’s any time before then.”
Simply put, Since the co-founder of Bethesda is the CEO of Zenimax Media, Zenimax Media is simply another name for Bethesda Corporate, if and when TES6 comes out is whenever Bethesda feels like releasing it, i do know Bethesda is using ESO as a time filler for the new IP Bethesda has been working on since 2014 so take that for what you will.
ZeniMax Media Inc. is an American media company that develops and publishes video games through its subsidiaries. ZeniMax is known as the owner of id Software (developer of Doom, Quake and Wolfenstein), Bethesda Game Studios (developer of The Elder Scrolls, Fallout 3 and Fallout 4), Arkane Studios (developer of Arx Fatalis, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic and Dishonored), MachineGames (developer of Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein: The Old Blood), Tango Gameworks (developer of The Evil Within) and ZeniMax Online Studios. ZeniMax Media Inc. is headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, with offices in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Zenimax owns Bethesda not the other way around budzenimax was founded in 1999 and Bethesda was created as a subsidiary of zenimax in 2002 so you are wrong in that aspect
EDIT: so Bethesda couldn't possibly create zenimax seeing as zenimax came out 3 years before Bethesda.
also ZOS is another subsidiary of zenimax media to manage ESO.
You are completely wrong. Look at this>>>>>>https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bethesda_Softworks

You might be right, but FO4 didn't have an FO MMO that preceded it. If TES6 is in development (which may not be the case), Todd Howard said that they are working on projects that are crazy different than what Beth is used to. This could mean a completely different IP, or it could mean a current IP with a different approach, like a single player TES with a co-op mode. When ESO launched, the official Beth forum was buzzing with, "we wanted co-op not an MMO . . .blah blah."
Make no mistake, I'm not advocating for co-op. I just think it's more likely than not.

The previous poster wasn't completely wrong. Partly wrong. Bethesda was founded in 1986 based on your link.
Does that mean the Bethesda was acquired by ZeniMax and became a subsidiary?

I know, couldn't be the truth; but . . . .
A) Elder Scrolls 6 must have at least cooporative play. Just PvE is not going to be acceptable! ?

So no, ESO is not TESVI with multiplayer. ESO was also in development in 2007, same year as TESV

I agree that it isn't TES 6 but I think that adding Thieves Guild has gone a long way toward making it feel more like a TES game. My only wish is that they would add more factions, including some heroic factions moving forward. The Fighters Guild is about as close as you can get to a 'Heroic' faction right now since they are charged with fighting Molag Bal by Meridia (I'm still not sure I trust Meridia, considering some of the story in TES:4 Oblivion and related lorebooks). That being said the Fighters Guild is definitely a 'gray area' since they are swords for hire, mercenaries with no true loyalty or cause, apart from being paid by Meridia. I'm fine with this as a plot point but I'd like to see the more conan-esque elements of this guild show up in the future. Additionally, I really think this game lacks in having a Heroic faction to join. We need something like the Imperial Legion or Twin Lamps in Morrowind. We need something like the Dawnguard. I'd love to see a faction we can join that gives the character with a sense of heroism a good feeling. As it stands the story in my own headspace regarding these villain factions is that my character's actions (when a villain) are alternate realities thanks in part to dragon break or meridia machination, however you look at it.

"BASED on The Elder Scrolls"
That's right, ESO is based on the franchise. Please let the Single Player TES Games out of this.
Please.

What does ESO need to capture the PVE charm of a TES game?
