@DEVS-What Happened to Crit Rush? Why is it now Broken?

    Three of my characters use this ability ZoS.

    Please keep Thieves Guild away from our current live console versions if this is what we have to look forward to. I mean it's a crashing mess as is but at least most of the commonly used abilities work.

    Yes, this is information we need. If someone could either detail out exactly what the issue is, or post a video, that would help a lot in identifying what may be potentially broken. Thanks!

    I have experienced all three. Although i cant put a video of it, i've experienced situations where my gapcloser doesnt want to launch, or has a delay before launching, or just doesnt even work/locked and only a pot fixes it.

    They all happen in different terrains too if that helps. I maybe be fighting in hills or cliffs, or may be on flat ground.

    I really do hope this is fixed. At first, I was highly amused about the outcry since this is exactly what templars are dealing with Focus Charge, but now it's just sad. I do wonder how I'll feel if Crit Rush, Invasion, and Ambush/Lotus Fan get fixed, but Focus Charged remains bugged.

    The critical charge morph that snares (forgot the name) seems to work fine, at least for me I haven't run into any bugs yet with it.

    Stampede, and that before that patch was more broken as it overpowerd bc the snare was added before u hit something.

    From the Patch Notes
    Fixed an issue where charge abilities could still damage enemies at vastly different high elevations.

    You might want to look into the elevation check changes you intentionally put into this patch. I understand you don't want people gap closing up sheer walls, but the way that almost all of the terrain in the game is uneven, especially in cyrodiil, the elevation check is way too strict now and prevents the use of any gap closer if you are barely standing on a pebble.

    Gap closers were ABSOLUTELY FINE before this change and before the unpurgable snare placed on the target of gap closers. None of this really needed any fixing. If you could just revert gap closers to the way they were before the elevation check and the snare, we would all be happy.

    Templar gap closers were not fine before the change.

    Ours won't go if there is a speck of dirt difference in elevation.

    Ours won't go if there is a speck of dirt difference in elevation. My husband laughed at me last night watching my Templar flail.

    Worst of all.. it does use up your magicka while you don't move an inch... haven't checked if the bugged stamina charges now also have this behaviour.

    It does not consume stamina, thank god.....

    Gap closers were far too much of a DPS ability and thats not what they were designed for, they were designed to close distance.

    Considering Stampede gets a Snare, Crit Rush more damage, and Toppling Charge an guaranteed knockdown and stun, it makes sense for these skills to have a small cooldown window on them. When you compare Gap closers vs Streak, Streak has a stacking 50% cost increase and it only ports like 8 meters compared to gap closers reaching 22m...it was so horribly unbalanced and lopsided before.

    Simply put, you will no longer be able to spam gap closers on someone as a main form of DPS and lock them out of their bars. This is a welcome change. Look at Templar's like Blabafat, he uses Toppling Charge + Sweeps to wreck people all the time, even with the delay on Charge its still fully viable. Being able to weave Suprise Attack or other such skills right after a Crit rush with no delay on top of the target being mini-negated, rooted, it was simply unfair.

    I was one of the biggest people on here complaining about this nonsense and gave a lot of feedback about this issue along with guys like Sypher and others...99% of the community was sick of this gap closer nonsense...this is the 1 thing ZOS has actually gotten right.....there should be a small delay after landing a gap closer, your still get a huge snare and hindering your targets ability to move...it has to be balanced.

    If Templars like Blab and others can make Toppling Charge + Sweeps work as well as they do, the other gap closers with this change can work too, it will just take some time to get used to a small delay which actually makes them balanced.

    Umm ...so if I hit my button to gap close and nothing happens it's not broken? Last night 25%-50% of time my gap closer was unreliable... This is broke... sorry...

    I said in the post below it that they should fix the pathing problem where you hit the button and it don't work which is what folks are having trouble with right now :)

    It's still not completely fixed? Does that mean that it's actually partially fixed? It's been months since I've used it, and I just assumed it was staying fully broken forever...

    Toppling charge should be made a teleport. Animate it like the dragoon's Jump like in final fantasy, considering a spear/lance is used.

    It's not just gap closers, either! Since the patch, procced Crystal Frags refuse to fire sometimes when you're in heavy combat, even when your reticule is right on top of the target.

    I don't think it's just the elevation check, because since the patch I've had gap closers bug out on me on perfectly level ground and refuse to fire off. I think it's an elevation and pathing check, where if there's any piece of terrain (including small rocks, backpacks, etc) even very slightly obscuring a straight-line path from you to the target, it fails.

    I think at this point they need to just make all gap closers teleports. It seems like it's the only way to avoid running into these issues.

    Could even be related to the horse/toon stumbling on pebbles and slowing going up a slight hill issue. Your path must be smooth as a babies bottom and flat as a pancake for your gap closer to work or to move quickly...

    The crit Rush button is pushed the character stutters.. shakes then nothing. It happens on any kind of incline or decline but can happen on flat ground very much like toppling charge.

Because an 8 k shield is f ing useless. Died because of baddies on the forum. Too much qq too little pew pew. 16 AD 2 DC. 0 EP cause they bad, CP 2300 plus 18 level 50 toons. NA, PC, Grey Host#SORCLIVESMATTER actually they don’t or they wouldn’t keep getting nerfed constantly.

    I'm glad other abilities have this problem now.

    Maybe toppling charge will finally be fixed.

    Since Zos cannot figure out the pathing/elevation issues just make all gap closers teleports so that it at least works for now.

    We would all prefer working skills.
