Magicka templar is the literal definition of "easy". Equip puncturing sweeps and just press the button over and over again: Single target damage, AOE damage, and self healing more than anything in leveling can damage you with.
You even get the ability in about 5 minutes, unlike the nightblade equivalent of this ability(which also happens to not deal much single target damage) that you get much much later on.
I never said, nor did I mean to imply that it was difficult for nightblades.Magicka templar is the literal definition of "easy". Yeah, first skills assissans blade (finisher), cloak (utility), strife (spam able damage and heals).
Yeah Nighblades have it rough
Wait, what? The weekly VMA board for Templars doesn't fill up. The board for DK is a sad joke. Nightblades need around a 220K just to make it onto the weekly, and sorcs need over 300K to make it onto the weekly.solo play/small group -> templar or DK
Hi all,
I've been gone for a year, just now returning to check things out. I have a decent Sorc (VR10) that I'm slowly dusting off and enjoying. My wife might come back and rejoin me, but she'll need a faceroll easy class and build to relearn the game. We're both old and slow gamers, and we're going to reroll anyways, so any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Very helpful replies, all, thanks.
So far Magicka Sorc is working well, but we're still trying to figure out how Overload works.
We're enjoying Magicka Templar as well, but struggling a bit trying to decide to go melee or ranged.
Next to try is a Magicka NB build. Again, though, we're unclear whether or not to go melee or ranged with that, too.
Let your wife choose her character by herself - she can read and has a brain, you don't have to pick if for her. She will enjoy it more, if it is her character and not yours, forced on her. Give her a chance to be a real player, and not your bot.
