Well good to see ZOS ignores quality feedback....

Just like they ignore making Damage Shields able to be crit.

They leave these clearly broken cheese mechanics in the game for months

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahZLLB89kDY

There is what you have to look forward too in TG.....
    • Sorcs stacking damage shields that make them immune to crit(status quo for us Sorcs allowing them to run around viable with 15k health)
    • every other class stacking Impen + Resistant points negating your crit down to about 28% of its base value....wow......totally broken....every bit as broken as Nirnhoned was a few months back.

What a shame....why bother giving feedback when they refuse to learn from past mistakes...Impen will be a problem next patch, mark my words just like shields that can't be crit will become even bigger of a problem.

its borderline reprehensible this kinda stuff still exists in this game 2 years later....totally and completely broken....of course i know folks will chime and and try to justify how shields that can't be crit is balanced(Im a magic Sorc have been since beta and it isn't) or how being able to reduce someones crit damage modifier so low is so balanced(again it isn't)

instead of fixing these issues that are clearly broken, its better off to just make a new DLC and ignore everything that could potentially be broken.....

If they allow wards to be crit, then they need to allow Impenetrable and armor rating to reduce the damage BEFORE it hits the ward... it's only fair!

Allowing Impen to reduce the Crit damage to a shield I would be Ok with(granting that you can't reduce a crit damage modifier below its base value), but giving Damage Shields Armor and Spell Resist ratings is a huge no, no that would be a huge buff to shields.

Right now with max CP into Resistant and 7 Impen Armor you can actually reduce someones crit modifier below the base crit value modifier.....thats just simply broken. Damage Shields being able to be crit wouldn't really be a large nerf at all as the shield is being crit not the player so you can still cast shields.

Also Hardy and Elemental Defender reduce the damage damage shields take, so there is already that. These things though need addressed sooner then later, its really cheese gameplay that simply doesn't belong in the game.

Any chance this can be looked into? Both of these things are clearly broken and have been for quite awhile. Damage Shields need to be critable, and Impenetrable or the Resistant Champion System point tree needs to be adjusted, this type of stuff doesn't belong in an MMO.......this kinda stuff is just driving paying customers away..... this needs to addressed sooner rather then later.....Hope your having a good Monday :)

Sure, nerf impenetrable but let's go back to pre-1.6 % crit.

People with 5 forum stars should know that the max crit modifier went from 1.5 to 2.03+... And you are complaining about an approximately 22% crit damage reduction from 1.6 values. To lower your crit that much a player has to wear full impen and put 100 points into resistant, a significant damage dealing reduction.

Disagree completely. Why would stacking mitigation be any less possible... Or viable than stacking damage or critical? I am sure the wrecking blow and steel tornado spammers who are actually $&#%^ players would love to have ppls mitigation nerfed so they can continue to push one button. Ftw. We would never want your 14 k wrecking blows to be 9 k would we... it would be terrible and unbalanced. Oh yeah right.
Sorcerna, proud beta sorc. RIP April 2014 to May 31 2016 DArk Brotherhood. Out of retirement for negates and encases. Sorcerna will be going back into retirement to be my main crafter Fall 2018. Because an 8 k shield is f ing useless. Died because of baddies on the forum. Too much qq too little pew pew. 16 AD 2 DC. 0 EP cause they bad, CP 2300 plus 18 level 50 toons. NA, PC, Grey Host#SORCLIVESMATTER actually they don’t or they wouldn’t keep getting nerfed constantly.

Red has many defencive stars. Elemental defender is one, hardy is one and thick skinned and resistant etc etc, no way you can put considerable points into all those, you simply need to choose wich ones you want considerable protection in. If you fight someone who take less dmg from your crits, that same person probably has less or little in elemental defender or dot protection etc etc

All the Damage Increasing CP are blue
All the Regen and Cost Reduction CP are Green
All the Damage Reduction and Crit Reduction are Red

This always seemed stupid to me. Theres no *** choices here, you just get what you need. No sacrifices to be made, no differences from other people, no choices. CP system is boring.

I do know it went 1.5 to 2.03 in 1.6 and its not a 22% reduction its 28.61%

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ktbYDsiyI7W6v5k2JFSHJPSUw5p0RRaIW_-K3MBIbr8/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=1664407611

see the last column of that spreadsheet

Yes putting 100 points into that tree does make sense...the amount of damage you lose is very little, and crit mitigation reduces damage from all sources instead of just magic, fire, poison, etc so it actually makes sense to stack all your red points there...just like it makes sense for Sorcs to max Bastion.

Your damage dealing trees are in the blue tree and has nothing to do with mitigating damage.....you suffer a very minimal damage loss running full Impen and the best bang for your buck for damage mitigation will fall under Resistant.

you will see, everyone is Cyrodiil will be running max Crit reduction, everyone, it makes 100% sense for them to do so..you can actually augment your damage reduction though gear with the same trait, why wouldn't anyone who understands math not do that?

trading Infused or Divines for Impen is a very very small reduction in DPS for a very very large reduction to damage taken and damage mitigation, its an absolute no brainer to invest heavily in it.

ZOS will be forced to nerf this, its just sad it looks like this kind of nonsense is going to get out of the PTS....

ahh well i have said my part on this, good luck...this cheese will be everywhere, can't wait to see the anger on the forums over this because trust me it will be coming. GG
