Excuse me, but I need black hair dye for my Altmer.

There are many hair colors that SHOULD be available but for some reason are not. Some races are just out of luck, I guess. Altmer and Nords don't have a true black hair, Bosmer don't have a true white hair, Khajiit and Imperials don't have red hair... It is really annoying.

You can use the PTS to design your characters. Theres no deletion limit on the test server.

...and if the game had stayed subscription-powered, that is how it should have been.
But this particular ship has sailed and sunk quite a while ago...
Nowadays the barbershop MUST use crowns, otherwise they will have made a large codejockey-salary investment for no profit, and the suits in charge will pull the plug on ESO for not being "profitable".
And I want to keep playing ESO.
Best we can hope for is that they might be generous and allow -some- alterations at a mere gold cost. It would be logical for things like hairstyle change and such...

Hey I never wanted the game to go B2P which is what ushered in the darned cash shop. But it's here to stay so we might as well let them know what we're willing to pay for because right now there is precious little I actually want in there. Indeed, I'm continually shocked by how thin the offerings really are.

I don`t get how a mmorpg can even start without a barbershop. Where are we, 2001?

Then again, barbersops and weaponsheaths seem to be the hardest thing to code in the world of mmorpgs.

I bet most people wouldn't mind if we could just right-click on our char in pre-game phase and select "face/body edit" from the drop down menu that would take us back to the char-creating screen.

But ZOS probably wants to make something better and more cost-effective. The only issue is, it's taking too long.

Should have been released when or very shortly after buy to play. Zenimax has clearly underestimated how much people spend on appearance changes and prioritized it low.

I remember the first announcement of "barbershop" back in fall 2014. Then everything was put on hold for the work on "Tamriel Unlimited" and the console release... IC, Orsinoum, TG, DB, and barbershop... and only now are they working to finish the things they had intended to have done looong ago.
Plans get made, life happens, plans change.
Not really much more that can be said about this, except that we really, really want our barbershop...

I would be fine with barber shop as long as:

- No stupid, lore-breaking hairstyles. (anime, hair metal, etc...)
- No stupid, lore-breaking colours. (blue, rainbow, etc...)

I would also prefer there won't be styles that can be earned *only* through crown-store but I don't care that much about that. We already have exclusive items.

+1 Agreed. Never understood the fascination with cartoonish & anime looking characters with plastic lips, hourglass body and big [snip] in a medieval fantasy environment. It's just wrong.

Some of these actually look incredibly good. Others still look like the ends were "trimmed" with a weed whacker, completely destroying their appeal to me. SIGH Also, STILL NOT ENOUGH LONG ONES! Let's hope this is actually remedied when the barber shop DOES finally, SOME DAY, drop!

The ability to change all markings (body and face) and at the VERY least, the ability to re-do ALL face options.

Basically so that one can completely remake their face.

I don't think an entire skill like should be devoted to it, but I suppose instead of sitting in the barber chair, you could speak to NPC, who then escorts you through to a back room for your black market facial surgery. I suppose that would be quite funny.

But the reason I asked for that, is that I completely messed up my guys face, the only reason I would use a barber is if I could redo my face.
