    @Woeler and @Personofsecrets, if he had Shattered armour then his armour value was reduced to zero. Irrespective of blocking he can be one-shot by this mechanic. This is why we have 2 tanks throughout now on trash to specific adds between tanks when the Shattered debuff is placed.

    So yes, Helediron, it's a mechanic.

    But he is talking about the first boss. While he has some kind of armor debuff mechanic, it definitely does not go to 0 (at least for my intuition). If it does, then well, I haven't noticed.

    I'm under the impression this occurs for the first boss too. The Shattered debuff actually works differently from the 2H adds on trash to the first boss and last boss, but amounts to the same if you aren't careful in how you deal with it.

    EDIT: we're actually not sure if ZOS intended the Shattered debuff to work differently on adds versus the boss, so this may be a bug? I'll check with ZOS next time we catch them in TS.

    I wonder why you are experiencing this issue because I and other tanks on the team have not had a problem being damaged too much by the first boss while our armor is shattered. My group doesn't even trade off aggro now - I just tank the whole fight and roll to the platform when I need to cleanse.

    That is why I say that you may not have been blocking, but if you are certain that you did not drop block for some reason, and that can happen, then I think that you are experiencing unusually high damage due to a game error. Maybe the server connection is causing you to take multiple hits at the same time.

    Could depend on the gear. There was that gearset giving 40% damage reduction for all incoming damage (when it should have only been traps). Though this has been fixed. The debuff lasts 15 seconds iirc, so it may be that the debuff wore off during your battles before the boss did an attack that could 1 shot. Though, I don't think we've had any one-shot kills on the first boss either, so I'm inclined to think the shattered armour isn't as potent there too. *Shrug* there's still a few things being figured out.

    I have never gotten any excessive damage while tanking that first boss, even when the armour shatter is active. Pretty sure it works differently. To be honest the difference between shatter and non-shatter on the first boss is quite... unremarkable.

    On the final boss? As in you're coping with the damage fine post-Shatter there too? Perhaps it's a L2P issue for our tanks :P I blame @Xantaria.

    But yes, the shatter works differently between bosses and trash fights.

    What i wonder, could the Shatter behave differently between magicka nightblade with Armour Master vs. DK with DK mitigation plus Footman mitigation? We had two tanks, the other was DK, and didn't receive those big hits.

    The first boss of the trial can be quite boring if you have two tanks. one tank is always doing nothing but spamming some useless skills.

    I would rather see like on the last boss, where the tanks have to swap the first boss to avoid getting your armor shattered.

    No it's always the same. And it's just zero armour, blocking still works so w/e can just ignore the debuff in all bossfights.

    Last boss can be cleared on PTS I think. We nearly finished 1 full cycle on the boss our second night attempting it. Provided things don't escalate much per cycle it's a simple case of repeating that 7-9 times depending on our DPS (once executable it will go much faster).

    I've thought up some better positioning that we'll try next Tuesday and see what we can manage.

    I'll agree that Hard Mode won't be cleared on PTS. I haven't thought up the best way to deal with that mechanic yet :s

    Regarding the Shatter debuff: It should work the same on Zhaj'hassa and the Savages. Whenever you see that Action Combat Text of "Armor Shattered" it should be the same effect.

    We are glad to see that a lot of the crash problems seem to have been resolved.

    @zos_finn, could you please make the first boss harder then it is now, since if we are running the whole dungeon with two tanks.. its basically 1 tank that is just doing no thing but providing a bit of heals.

    My suggestion: let the boss do a debuff similair as the two-hander so the tanks have to at least do something interesting.

    Or maybe that the boss puts a curse on to the tank, if he stands close to the boss that the tank will heal the boss, so the other tank has to take over and the tank with the curse on him has to stand away from the boss for a certain amount of time.

    Or maybe you guys could figure something out to make that boss a bit more interesting.

    Honestly, it's not going to be fun for the 50% of the fight you are basically doing nothing as the tank who has not got aggro.

    I think is just easier have the tank change to dps gear and dps the boss. Im pretty sure any tank going to MoL will have a dps set. You wont be the most efctive dps, butwilldomore than run around.

    You're both on. I've already designed a whole new tactic. Want a clue: slow and steady wins the race :P too slow and you'll die, too fast and you'll run into other problems...neither the hare or the rabbit wins this race.

    I wish it was that easy...you need Perfect Roe too.

    Unfortunately I am offline until Monday now and I'm unsure if the PTS is still active (lost track of the dates lately...). I'm confident it can be done with our new tactic - we just need to test a couple of things first. So hopefully Monday/Tuesday we'll give it a good go. Either way, the tactic will work better than what we're currently doing for when it goes live.

    @ZOS_Finn Yeah good job on fixing the crashes, but we also ran into another issue (some of us). I used to have around 30 fps on fights. Now it goes down to 10-15 fps which also makes it unplayable :(

    Why everyone always goes with dps? why not buff the damage in mechanics or something holy *** make things fun for healers too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
