Obnoxious enemy mages and no counter play..

I play a healer, and whenever im against sub boss or higher enemy mages in pve there is one thing that irritates me to the extreme; direct spells.
All they have to do is cast these kind of spells and they cannot be dodged in any way apparently, ive tried rolling, ive tried blocking inbetween every single attack i did, i keep losing against these kinds of enemies, and boss types especially just kill me in three if not two hits.

Sadly i dont have an anti magic skill on me, im a full healer on the character i struggle so hard with. Against melee enemies i have no trouble, even when in large groups i easily take care of them, archers are just pesky but not hard either.

But for godsake these mages..
Can anyone tell me how to prevent those insta-laser bullshet spells from sabotaging my skill-based fun of this game?

    healing ward comes handy also, specially when you are low health

    Healing ward is useful, but Harness Magicka doesn't require a specific weapon so it can fit on any bar and it's great against mages, and fire if you're a vampire.

    update: i dont even seem to need it anymore, i have such high healing that its extremely rare for me to get even below 50% healthpoints, heck ive been pretty much only doing red quests lately and even the group dungeon bosses fall before me.

    never underestimate a siphoning healer xD
