Any costumes ESO makes I hope are tasteful and not at all like TERA.

I tried that game. It's WAY too grindy, has a glitchy RNG, and most players eventually end up using exploits to cheat or buying into its horrible p2w mechanics.

But it really does shine in the group content. Almost all its flaws can be overlooked when you've got a good group of players to adventure with.

Yeah, it has it's flaws for example replayability sucks and veteran ranks are not desirable.

Not saying to make the game 1000% real but.... function > fashion. Like it's winter time what you think be better to wear non-slip boots or fancy shoes ? Yet some people wear those shoes and then complain how it is so cold and how their always slipping on ice.

And if your still persistence about it then it needs to be equal like so

    ^THIS!^
Nothing more needs to be said.
Except... I want that bottom left outfit for my boy characters...:grin:;)

But I really, really would love it if the costumes got seperated into "combat costumes" (aka, armor visuals) and "non-combat costumes" (aka, all the rest including evening dresses and dancing girl silks) that unequipped the first time you took damage (much like disguises, except not limited to one area and without the "no sneak but disguise" mechanic).
Since it vexes me severely when people can walk around in "sexy" outfits, but still have full plate armor protection.

For roleplaying support through, any sort of outfit is appreciated, since you never know what kind of RP you might encounter... yes, even the stri... uhm... dancing girl outfits. On that account I just want equality - if girls get a "harem slave" outfit, so should boys.

Why not have it all. Full body armors and revealing ones for males and females? Everyone can pick and wear what they like.

Also theres always bitching how TERA objectifies women but rarely a mention is made the game has male armors that are just as revealing. Double standards.

It would be double standards only if we were asking for males to wear skimpy TERA-like gear and not women. I don't see myself saying this, if you do see someone saying this I suggest you quote them and address them about it, rather than making a snippy comment about something that isn't actually happening here.

This thread is about the OP's wish to objectify females specifically, so that is what we are talking about.

The second part of my comment wasnt directed at you more at the thread in general. Not going make 2 separate posts just because I have 2 different points to make. I said people often bring up TERAs armors as an example of gender bias while the game is the perfect example of gender equality. Slutty equality but equality :P

Also I didnt see the OP argue there shouldnt be sexy male armors so...

Why not?- simply because it looks like crap and would destroy the beauty of ESO - and by what reason?- Just because boys (who do not belong into this game in the first place, because it is M rated) and badly enough as well some men are not grown up yet and are in need for pixel sexuality?- go play second life, there you can have all the pixel sex you'll ever need - but not in ESO please. This should look and feel like an Elder Scrolls game, not like a korean style MMO.

Yeah the point and general consensus is we don't want to see TERA-like costumes anywhere in ESO, not on the females, not on the males, and not on the little cats and dogs running about town. And if we had children in the game, especially not on them either :expressionless:

Not sure the couple of people who posted here can be counted as a consensus.

As for TERA it takes sexy armors to an extreme bodering on softcore ***. And discussing things based on extreme cases isnt usually a good idea. Its like having the choice limited to a bikini and a burkha. There should be a fully acceptable spectrum of armor in between these two. Some on the sexy side, some on the conservative side.

It is not about that, TES games had a certain look and feel since Morrowind (before they were a bit different) and this should be continued in this way. This art style and game mechanics led TES games to success - even a lot used mods to mess it up after their own taste, but this effected just them, not others - in an MMO this cannot be as free as in a single player game. ESO has still to look and feel like an Elder Scrolls game or there would not be a point in playing it at all. I love it for being Elder Scrolls, if it would not look and feel like a TES game, I would not be here.

So far I have not seen anything in the crown store what would be out of place. That stuff has been all tasteful and lore-friendly and I think that ZOS will continue like this and not introduce stuff, which would feel out of place.

Edit: We jump on it by a good reason - "do not let it take root" - if we do not speak up, it could happen.
