the iron bosmer armor looks nice as well and has a beautiful pattern, which looks nice with some light dye. But it has those butt flaps, you might not like it. Still it is nice.

There is a game, which has awesome avatars, a non-intrusive interface with 5-sense support, awesome and unpredictable AI, full 3d reality, but graphics suck a little and teleport is not iimplemented yet - it's called "real life" - give it a try.
Women see characters - dolls, toys, video game toons - as projections of themselves. Not just an *** bouncing on the screen.
So if you want an accurate and qualitative assessment of what is sexy, empowering, sensible, or tasteful... there are definitely a lot of experts out there...

Not saying to make the game 1000% real but.... function > fashion. Like it's winter time what you think be better to wear non-slip boots or fancy shoes ? Yet some people wear those shoes and then complain how it is so cold and how their always slipping on ice.
And if your still persistence about it then it needs to be equal like so

I'd say it's not ultimately about function, but rather about objectification. If it was about function why is fashion not okay for armor, but acceptable weaponary. Most of the weapons in ESO are terrible from a functionality stand point. They'd be too heavy to be wielded properly, and the rounded rather than oval handles would obscure edge alignment in combat as just two examples.
