Pepper8Jack wrote: »Just watched tonight's "We are ESO" Stream, and I wanted to give a quick shout out to @ZOS_RichLambert, and the rest of the dev team.
You guys catch a lot of flack sometimes, and people love to bastardize the dev team, but you should know that there are plenty of players out there who love and appreciate the ridiculous amount of work you guys put in every day of every week making this game great.
There are so many outspoken, rage-filled people on here and in the streams that the voices of those who want to be helpful and constructive often get drowned out. The thing to remember is that the only reason those negative, berating people are so aggressive is because you've created something that they, and the rest of us, have come to love and develop a deep, unrelenting passion for this game. That passion gets the better of us sometimes.
In short, I just want to commend you all for taking your passion and building something that the rest of us can get so passionate about. ESO has been, and likely will be for quite some time, my #1 (free) time sink.
All I can say to you for that, is thank you. It's good to know that the people behind my favorite pastime are listening to what I have to say. It's truly an amazing thing when you have some of a game's top players together having a discussion and they can look at the audience and say "ZOS is watching this".
So to ZOS:
On behalf of those of us that feel as though we've been drowned out; Thank you for this game, and everything you've done trying to keep this incredibly complex and diverse player base happy and engaged. Thank you for never ceasing your efforts at making it even better since launch. Thank you for continuing to listen to us, despite the negativity you face.
Thank you.
And to the players of ESO:
If you want your opinion, suggestion, or idea to be heard; Turn off your caps lock, keep away from that exclamation mark key, and remember to be constructive in your discussions. They mean it when they say they're listening, and they're working harder than you'll ever know, so try to cut them some slack before you rage.

If they get payed from us cause we are buying playing there game then they need to listen to there community better we have been asking for stamina sorcerers changes for awhile now yet none ever happen only once in awhile possibly yet magicka sorcerers always get attention I just don't understand the only reason stamina sorcerers are fewer then magicka sorcerers because of the limited options stamina sorcerers have this is got to do with zos fault and because there isn't many they like to ignore stamina sorcerers and make no changes so in my opinion zos team still isn't all that great at some things
I'd love if it was true what you say, but often when something goes wrong, we don't even get proper info, because there are "off hours" at ZOS. I don't think that's a good testament to "the ridiculous amount of work you guys put in every day of every week" if you're running a global MMO game.

Is this seriously a complaint? You're upset because the developers get to go home, and aren't caged up in their cubicles 24/7?
It's even worse then what I thought you believe if your constructive you Wil get more attention on things especially stamina sorcerers lol I think not people have already tried to be this way and it hasn't got them no where I think someone needs to try and be more foward and demanding then constructive I guess its the only thing they understand just look at the whole situation about text chat us console players finally got text chat from basically demanding it lolSo naive with lowered expectaions
True

So because the game is live 24/7 the devs should be shackled to their desks 24/7?
I can't believe this is even a topic.

Not the devs, but if you run global business, you have to have some ppl on at every time. That's common sense.

I wouldn't call it global. International yes, but there's only servers for NA/EU. Besides, just because no one is on the forums replying to players at the wee hours of the morning for every time zone doesn't mean there's no one staffing ZOS at those times. Not everyone in the company is allowed to post as a dev.

And that's why I said they should have at least 1 person ready to update the forums at every time.
I'll just leave this here. I doubt anyone that actually needs to will read it but there's always a chance.

To all those screaming in here about Stamina Sorc;
Go ask in WoW for a stamina sorcerer. Or a sorcerer that wears any heavy armour.
Go ask in Guild Wars 2 for a stamina sorcerer.
Oh. That's right. You can't. Because most MMO's won't allow anything outside of a magic using sorcerer. Zenimax have been very good with allowing freedom of choice on classes and builds. You most certainly can play any way you want. But did they say that any build that you think of will destroy everyone else? No. They did not. Not even slightly.
So go ahead and throw your toys out of the pram because you think Zenimax owes it to you to cater to every single thing that you want.
Some have made it work, but some haven't. If you're going to go against the grain of things like sorcerer being magic based, don't expect to always be pandered to.

Why is it that mag templars and mag dks can *** about low damage and mobility, but stam sorcs can't complain about not being relevant at all? Both those classes already have roles to fill. Stam sorcs literally don't have anything. Yet classes who are already great at something(healing and sustained dps respectively) can still ask for more?
The play as you want philosophy is what really messed this game up and if taking that away means it's not an elder scroll game then I wish this game just released as a single player/co-op adventure. Alternative the game releasing as a true action mmo without the elder scroll title would also be fine. The people would understand class balance is about being strong at some things while being weak at others and NOT everyone being able to do the same thing. Does this idea limit variety. Most definitely. However, class balance is much easier to maintain that way.

Personally, I think the issue is that stam sorcs are simply underplayed as a class, so they don't get enough publicity. The more popular classes are always going to drown out the minority, but then factor in that most of the stam sorc posts are just rage posts and you're left with a very select few opportunities for reasonable, coherent stam sorc players to get spotted by ZOS.
All you can do if you want change is to keep calmly posting about it, keep making reasonable suggestions for change, and hopefully we'll see them implement those changes. We did already see the passive changes, which were heavily requested, so it's not like they are closed off to the idea.

This is a fair statement. At the same time, I know there have been at least "Some" well done posts on this with a lot of activity and yet stamina sorc is still absolute bottom barrel from day one till now. NB, stam/magica excellent. DK(yes, mag dk in pvp had troubles but otherwise) both excellent. So you have Templar and sorcs who are weak as heck in stam and at least Temps were Very viable for some time in that regard, just less so now. It's like Argonians and Nords, yes I know khajit is broken atm :P, or like heavy armor vs med/light.
At some point fun and fairness > lore or traditional path for each class in Other games. Simply put, when people feel neglected they get mad over time, and considering it's literally been years for ESO it's at least somewhat understandable. Quitting, while technically an option, is complete hog crap of a response.

You're right to an extent, but let's not forget that feedback is not the only way the devs are supposed to get ideas. They are paid to come up with their own as well.

So you have that you are a beta tester in your sig so you should know full well that having stamina and magicka for all classes is something ZOS has already strived to deliver.
The idea that sorcs cannot or should not be able to use stam and therefore there should be no discussion on it is completely laughable. They go against what ZOS is trying to build and frankly, its a complete waste to even post it. Yet theres always a few that come into the stam sorcs threads throwing it out there.
