i've heard alot of people complain about the eso servers and disconnections from the server, ofcourse everyone blames zenimax, fix ur servers etc.. but after months people still disconnect, the reason it is not "fixed" is because it isn't really on zenimaxs end.. they have prob been looking into the problem like i have and i cannot find anything that causes the disconnections, i work for my ISP, and i've experienced disconnections..

i did alot of different tests, i connected to the servers of eso and pinged them to see the connection, then hoping i'd disconnect anytime soon to see what caused it, what i've noticed is, zenimax uses alot of servers, everytime i'd switch area i'd change to another server ip, after playing for a while, i disconnected.. so the results? nothing really happend, the zenimax servers didn't lose any connection or whatsoever, but what did (in my case) was the PS4, it lost connection to the zenimax servers for a split second, but the zenimax servers are fine, no connection loss whatsoever, it must be on our end.. and if you really think this is zenimaxs fault then i'm sorry i hope they will fix it anytime soon.. lol

i'm trying to be helpfull here.. do some tests, don't blame zenimax and try to fix it yourself, look for the problem, if nothing works i'm really sorry but i'd recommend trying the basic things like portforwarding, but besides that, their are things that could cause you to lose connection to the zenimax servers for a split second, like your ipad, iphone, laptop, all those things that are connected to your internet.. so i recommend disabling them and trying again and see if you disconnect..

what you also can do for tests, try to play eso on your PC/PS4/XBOX, your disc/game but on another location.. try that.. if you don't have any disconnections it is on your end, contact your ISP, try everything, disable wifi in general, disable devices that are connected..

btw i'm talking about constant disconnections, if you disconnect once every 9 hours? you're fine.. if you disconnect every 30minutes? then their is a problem.

And if people have problem with disconnections only in ESO i would dare to say it is still Z. problem not isp or peoples hardware

my friends have played 3000 hours and haven't disconnected once..
also i'm talking about constant disconnections, please make sure you have a valid internet.. if you don't have that then that is fine, i'm talking about people who are just casual playing and disconnect every 10 minutes with 'please make sure you have a valid internet".. i used to disconnect every 10 minutes and fixed it by disabling my wifi or changing the combination of deviced and modem etc i'm using it caused the constan disconnections, haven't been disconnect since then.

everyone.. all i can say to that is, explain to me why i don't have any lagg issues nor disconnections or any problemes with the servers, nor do any of my friends have any issues.. doesn't make sence to me, if its the game, then i should have the issue aswell..

i'm talking about the message, unable to connect to game servers, please make sure you have a valid internet.
i can't say it is on your end when you get error messages, also i assume ur on PC.

google the error message you are getting, and look for a fix, if that doesn't help contact support.

The whole point of using TCP is temporary dropped connection and lost packets can be recovered.
The only time you truly lose connection is when a session times out and gets abandoned.
This is normally down to the client waiting for a specific server response that never comes.
ie client requests missing IP packets from TCP window sequence....server doesn't respond.
Requested missing packets never arrive.
Client cant construct window and rebuild data stream.
Client gives up.

Granted this could be down to routing black holes and rogue DNS servers en-route.
Media swapping and fragmentation is a whole other issue.

I am on PS4, and have only ever experienced disconnects like this on ESO; both the blue screens and the server loss errors. Blue screens aside, when the server drops and disconnects me from the game, a vast majority of the time it simply will not let me log back into my character and play. I continue to get 'cannot connect to server' status. I must hard close the app, then reopen the app to be able to connect and play again. Again, this has only ever happened with ESO.

Whether it is a server issue, a game coding issue, some weird issue with how ESO talks with PSN, or whatever, is a moot point to me...at the end of the day IT IS A ZOS PROBLEM. The sheer fact that I must close app and restart it to connect indicates it is a game (of some sort) problem. And since it only happens on ESO (vice any other game I have ever played), to me it is a ZOS problem.

I was kicked earlier, could play again shortly after .... nthen was kicked again. My internet works, as you can see I'm posting in your thread. There have been many issues, where half of them have not been resolved and we don't even get clear answers to why this game runs so bad, or people crash so much.

I've been in trials/ raids where we did weekly runs, and 8-10 people in my group went offline in a second. Pvp sometimes feels like a slideshow, with 5min + loading screens if you use the transit shrines. 4mans group dungeons for pledge where you cast your ultimate and it hits 30 seconds after. - meanwhile internet was working fine, and you can roam free in other areas of the game, without encountering these problems.

Oh and lets not forget the 30-40min rollbacks where all your achievements and hard work - including loot gets lost.

The problem here is not the user, user computer or user connection, it is ESO. Wether it is badly coded, badly protected, badly maintained or all these things at once, the game has serious problems that have been reported since release, and not yet fixed.

lol the timing is crazy, i'm sorry guys, but i'm kinda talking about a constant disconnection problem some people are having for months, example: modem problemes, or anything like that, that causes disconnections and problemes with the servers..

as soon as i've posted this thread, the servers went down lmao so no worries this is not on your end, totally zenimaxs fault but i'd guess a ddos attack or something.. anyways i wasnt talking about the fact that the servers are down and its all your fault lmao

Well, if it is not on the server side then it bleeding is on the client side, and I mean the client program, because since every single other program works without a glitch or disconnect, it just plain isn't on our end in regards to OS/equipment in any case.

(2.00AM CET tonight when I got booted with "Login failure", I had these values on a broadband test; 1 februari 2016, 02:00 512.71 Mbit/s downstream 53.78 Mbit/s upstream 8 ms ping.)

I have to assume all of this lag and disconnect is mostly related to PvP. I've been playing for over a year now, I don't PvP, and I've literally never experienced lag. Not once. ... And I've only been disconnected a few times.

Split-second disconnects are inevitable no matter how good your hardware/cabling/servers are. I feel strongly that the problem is NOT the disconnects directly, but the inability of either the server or the ESO client to reconnect and recover. Other games I have played have been MUCH better with reconnecting without dashboarding or returning to the login screen. I am confident that the ball is in ZOS' court on this one.

I play on both the PC and PS4 and only ever experience constant disconnects (more than 2 every 30 min), on the PS4. I get a message saying there is no internet available, yet I am still talking in PS4 chat with my group? So not a PS4 problem--obviously a ESO problem. When I run an Internet test I am running at 75+ mbps--so I should be fine.
