We are now rolling out the Frost Mare mount to the PC/Mac and console Crown Stores, which will be available for a limited time only. With its icy gaze and steaming breath, the frigid Frost Mare seems carved from the very glaciers of Skyrim. Its exact origin is unknown, but the Mages Guild believes it may originally have come from Takubar, the plane of origin of Cold Flame Atronachs.
You can purchase your very own Frost Mare today until July 7th at 10:00AM EDT for 3000 crowns.
ZeniMax, your marketing department needs a refresher in the basics of making a sale.
Marketing 101: Excessive overpricing results in far fewer transactions, wasting the company resources applied to create the product. Worse yet, it alienates previously devoted customers. Overpricing is simply bad business.
The company's target should be to create as much profit as possible from each asset in the cash shop, not to squeeze as much as possible out of each transaction.
If ZeniMax wants to actually make real money on items like this, they need to price them below the bar set by other MMOs. Lower pricing results in a remarkable increase in total revenue, and a committed player base.
Direct feedback: Even though we like it, my Wife and I will not be buying this mount. We are also heavily reconsidering our sub, since the only thing of value we get from it is Crowns, now totalling only 1/2 the value of the "Mount of the month".
Sincerely,
~GTech_1

One of our (the Community Team) responsibilities is to relay player feedback to other teams, which we will certainly do.
I'm not sure what you mean by "comes with all riding skills", but the Frost Mare (and every other mount) uses your character's current Riding skill.StarWhispers wrote: »ZeniMax, your marketing department needs a refresher in the basics of making a sale.

I can not believe so many thought it was too expensive. It is a beautiful ice horse that comes with all riding skills? I would have jumped at the chance to buy it if I had been playing at the time.

I started playing after this was offered. Are you going to bring the frost mare back for the holiday season? I asked in game and everyone laughed and said ESO would never bring it back... But I know so many who would be happy to pay 3k crowns!!! Me included I thought maybe it would be offered over Christmas since it is an horse made of ice But sadly a panther and leopard were offered Do you know when they might put the frost mare back up for sale? If what the players who mock me say is true, then it is a wasted opportunity. So many want to buy it especially around the holidays when we are lacking snow! We need the frost mare!!!
