Weapon damage and crit are not the only important stats. I would go as far as to say the double crit bonus is actually a waste.
You sacrifice two set bonus slots to increase a stat that does absolutely nothing when hitting a shielded opponent, and very little when hitting an opponent with impenetrable/resistant.
In other words, hunding is only BIS in your head. Nothing wrong with that, we all have our preferences. But crying for nerfs because of what really is just your subjective opinion? Just no.

I don't care about 'build lists'. I can use my own head. And my head tells me that having 10% higher crit chance when fighting a shield stacking sorc has way less value than any other stat i could use those two set bonuses for.

Morag Tong gives almost that much with 4 pieces combine that with ur Venom and ud have a good set there

What he said, ur more upset that ur RNG gave u a bad trait. And u didnt ask about crit, u asked about damage. I could run a 4 piece Morag tong, 4 piece Sheer Venom and 3 peice Shadow Walker and do more DPS than 5 Hundings, 4 Sheer Venom. And all that is bought thru PvP Vendors or Dungeon Drops

Why would you want more than one set to have the same bonuses?
And what would you get out of being nerfed? To make your PvE drops look better in comparison?
If you think the set is BiS, then make a set. If you're only mad because you think a similar, but better set NEEDS to be gotten from some PvE dungeon, then you're playing the wrong game.

300 weapon damage does not outweigh two set bonus slots filled with potentially useless stat.

You should have to pick and choose on your gear not just have a set handed to you that does it all.

Just no.
its not in my head...go to any build list out there...see how many of them have 5 piece hundings..that is for a reason
I don't care about 'build lists'. I can use my own head. And my head tells me that having 10% higher crit chance when fighting a shield stacking sorc has way less value than any other stat i could use those two set bonuses for.
good thing it gives 300 weapon damage then huh? Oh yeah what other sets give that much weapon damage?
Morag Tong gives almost that much with 4 pieces combine that with ur Venom and ud have a good set there
Plus just proc'ing a 2set of kena gives like 400+. Can't remember off the top of my head... but my stam sorc gets up to 4876 weapon damage with kena proc'd.

He's just mad that being able to craft the set makes it harder for him to be a unique snowflake. If the set was behind 300 runs of vWGT he wouldn't have a problem. No use arguing anymore.
Yes, if you are looking for a set with crit AND weapon dmg, Hunding's is the best. Yes it's craftable. No, doesn't need a nerf.

No I'm directing it at the 5 piece hundings bonus because it adds waaay too much weapon damage to a set that also maximizes crit. It maximizes the 2 most important stats for damage no other set does that
Why would you want more than one set to have the same bonuses?
And what would you get out of being nerfed? To make your PvE drops look better in comparison?
If you think the set is BiS, then make a set. If you're only mad because you think a similar, but better set NEEDS to be gotten from some PvE dungeon, then you're playing the wrong game.sigh...this is why this thread is as long as it is..no one reads and makes the same silly argument.... hundings maximizes both crit and weapon damage...you augment your regen needs with other sets...you arnt going to wear 9 pieces of hundings..hundings is the baseline 5 piece armor set for BIS

300 weapon damage does not outweigh two set bonus slots filled with potentially useless stat.
fine then get rid of the crit rating on hundings rage and make it stamina since you think that would be a buff..people would cry about that btw
More ad hominem...
At least we are getting to people admiting it's the best...progress...
So you are saying the 5 peice bonus isn't overvalue?
OPs got a point. All BiS crafted sets should require max traits. It makes zero sense to have a Bis set at 6 traits and a lesser set requiring 9 traits. Both juilianos and bindings (or whatever is BiS) should be the current max traits.
But to make all dropped sets BiS. NO. Crafting needs to carry importance too. Even with a crafted set you need to grind monster sets and jewelry.

Just no.
its not in my head...go to any build list out there...see how many of them have 5 piece hundings..that is for a reason
300 weapon damage does not outweigh two set bonus slots filled with potentially useless stat.
fine then get rid of the crit rating on hundings rage and make it stamina since you think that would be a buff..people would cry about that btw
Mate, if they replaced crit on hunding's with stamina everyone would rush towards that set head over heels. Two stamina bonuses of almost 1000 each increases your damage output roughly as much as 200 weapon damage would...
If you mention Daoc (PvP/PvE) please NEVER forget to mention that you could also farm rare items from bosses/mobs in the PvP Area, a thing which I miss in ESO and that would ADD much more meaning to the PvP area.. (and not difficult to make..)Did anyone ever play DAoC?
*yawn* everyone stop posting replies to the OP.
Let's discuss set combinations or something. Hijack this guy's thread - he clearly does not know what he is talking about, and is too stubborn to acknowledge any bit of info thrown at him, despite the fact that many of us (see post #258) have given hard data to support our claims.
What do u think about a 2 handed Stamina Templar running 5 Night Mother's Gaze with 4 Sheer Venom, 2 Shadow Walker Set?
Personally, I think that's a pretty good setup. I see potential to improve that setup in terms of min/maxing, but that's not the end-all, be-all. Min/Maxing and being viable are different concepts, and in today's Tamriel it's not necessary to min/max for most content.
I absolutely love Night Mother's Gaze, but I typically use it as a 2-set or 4-set to supplement something else. One prominent argument against the use of NMG is similar to that of Hundings, in that crit is only situationally useful in PvP. That being said, I do all forms of content with all characters, so the crit stands to benefit me more than someone who exclusively chases shield stackers around. Regardless, the 5set bonus is going to be beneficial in many encounters in pvp.
I haven't spent nearly as much time theorycrafting, testing, and discussing stamplars as I have the other three classes, but I tend to see NMG still as a supplementary set. If you're going to avoid using monster sets (even a 1pc kena is incredibly useful) then I would try to incorporate 2 full 5sets instead of piecing it together. Sheer venom + NMG is at the top of the list for me - along with 5hunding/5briar, 5hunding/4sheer, 5hunding/2kena/3agility. The last option is what I use for my stam sorc.

EXACTLY!
You are mad at poor itemization and RNG. Direct your energy there, not nerfing crafted sets.
I agree wholeheartedly on this response. I guarantee that this discussion would be accurate and relevant if hundings crit was replaced by stamina, without a doubt. Then there truly would be no reason to get dungeon drops (outside of monster helms basically). Not that there aren't other reasons to get the gear, but it wouldn't be optimal if this was the case.
