Hundings Rage (crafted items in general) need a nerf

Why is the most powerful stam dps set in the game a crafted item rather than a dungeon/raid drop.

Look at the alternatives:
Sheer venom - lose 1376 crit; lose 39 weapon damage - gain a 1204 dps proc
Briarheart- lose 297 permanent weapon damage - gain proc on 10% of critical hits 152 weapon damage. + heal guaranteed downtime due to cooldown.
Essence Theif - lose 1376 crit, ; lose 168 weapon damage; gain proc off 15% of light attacks to gain 12% damage (sounds like a lot but it isn't due to buff stacking issues)

A set that takes 0 effort to obtain and allows you to set the traits 100% to your liking, beats out sets that take 100s of hours to obtain maybe 1000s due to RNG.

There is no risk vs reward here crafted items should not be best in slot.

Except it does take effort to obtain as you have to research traits to craft it. May not be as much effort as grinding your brains out in dungeons or trials, but not everyone wants to do that, so having good to decent crafting sets is a nice alternative.

so make dungeons drop items needed to craft those sets.

How hard is it to find someone with 6 traits? Im guessing less that 30 seconds in guild chat

VR16 gear takes a lot of materials to craft. People QQ about crafting costs already, don't make it worse by making it not worth crafting in the first place.

Also you can combine Hunding's Rage with Briarheart, it doesn't have to be either or, and according to Deltia, a perfect Briarheart set does roughly equal dps to Hunding's Rage, and gives you some self healing, so Briarheart is probably BiS 5-set for stamina dps.

Did you ever compare the time it takes to research 9 traits on every armor piece and weapon to the time it takes to grind a certain gear set?

You seriously want to nerf one of the only decent crafted sets in the game??? and force everyone to pray to rng gods...there is already plenty to grind in this game, leave my crafted sets alone!!!

This right here. It takes quite a while to get all of the traits required to even unlock Hundings Rage. Let alone have the traits to actually start making the set as powerful as it can be.

NO NO NO NO NO NO

    AND DID I MENTION NO?

firstly STOP ASKING FOR NERFS!!!!! im so bored of seeing this in every other thread!

you want dropped sets to be competitive here is a crazy idea, ask for a BUFF to those sets!!

and the last thing we need is any of these sets listed to become the next best thing, have you even paid attention to the RNG is this game?

why the hell would you want the best sets to be behind that crap!

i honestly cannot think of a good reason, unless ofcourse you already have them in your bank and you think screw everyone else?

it took me a full YEAR to get my crafter fully done with all 9 traits, why ask for that to be wasted?

Don't nerf crafted item. Don't nerf something because it's more powerful (unless it's totally overpowered), but boost the other option. Please, no more nerf, bring back buffs.

I read the op like 10 times and all I could discern from it was; "Please turn this into a dungeon grind only game and make crafting worthless like it is in every other mmo." No thanks bud, no thanks. You must really enjoy the thrill and agony of mindless rng in your gaming.

Not everyone has access to guild mates/prefer to work hard to find everything thing need. I've only just gone v12 on my first toon and I barely have 7 traits researched let alone 9 and I've been playing daily since last August.

its 6 traits not 9 - just because you don't want to utilize other players doesn't mean if you chosoe to you can have a full set of hundings rage that out performs every other high end set in the game with almost 0 time investment

You don't need guild mates to be a good crafter. You need to have strong legs and a good eye to harvest every node you see along with daily hireling and crafting writs.

    Congratulations!

You have posted the most poorly thought out thread of the day. Your prize -- derision, laughter, and mockery.

It takes considerable effort to get crafters for things like 8-trait gear. And you think the reward for that should be a slap in the face? WTAF?! What the ACTUAL f#@k kind of logic is that? Punish players who play and work to achieve something over those that win the RNG lottery?

I have a rather limited time to play. I'd like to spend as much of that time as I can doing what I enjoy, which is PVP.

I'd rather poke out my eyes with a burning spork than do group dungeons over and over.

At any rate, other than the monster helm sets (which are soon coming to PVP vendors), most of the dropped sets are bind on equip and can be purchased from guild traders, requiring about as much or less effort than Hunding's Rage.

What % of the population do you think have 6 traits researched on all pieces? I would say 90% of crafters (10% who are new)

Spending that time once should not make BIS gear for 2 years running at this point.

Asking for nerf to crafted items is literally saying "I feel so entitled that since I raid/do a lot of hardcore PVE I don't want simpletons wearing good gear".

Which basically means you're acting like a spoiled kid.

Which basically means that I'll stop right here, goodbye.

You should have to earn the BiS gear vs I want everything handed to me with no investment...which one is the spoiled kid
