I'm in a veteran trading guild, that allows non veterans to join, if they sell flowers and raw materials, low level potency runes and recipes. They don't make as much gold as players with IC access, good network of friends and decent gear - but they still own a well deserved spot in the guild.

@failkiwib16_ESO: My comments were aimed at the title of this thread and becoming one of the top tier wealthy players. I totally agree that you can make enough gold to survive quite nicely doing the things you described. I myself do quite well with fishing. The RNG doesn't hate me recently and I'm selling Perfect Roe for 10K each all day long.

People who make a lot of money in this game are playing the trading game to make money. A perfectly fine thing to do if that is what you want, but no different than grinding, farming or running a dungeon for a certain drop or killing mobs for an achievement or anything else. It's just something to do in the game, a reason to play.

PvP is expensive but addicting and having a nest egg of a few million so that you don't have to grind or PvE every other month or every time a new DLC comes out is pretty awesome.

In addition, if you want to get friends into the game it helps to bribe them with awesome equipment and consumables to keep their interest.

At least, it's why i'd want to be filthy filthy rich.

Personally, the grand bulk of the money I've made is by trawling the kiosks, finding super great deals, and then flipping for a good chunk of profit.

I've developed...a bit of a reputation in my guild for it.

I make my gold farmings mats, IC trophies and fishing for Roe. Not just mats for my vets, I farm when I am on my lowbies too. Spend the skill point that makes nodes glow, it's worth it.

I'm not mega rich in the game, but I've made well over 5 million gold just by selling ambrosia, v16 gold enchantments and high trait count gear. To craft all of those it took time to get the required skills.

I'm always buying alchemy ingredients from guild traders (no time to harvest myself), so I'm sure there's some good profits to be made in that, whatever the level of your alt.
