    1. Update 9 crunch time
    2. He was criticized for not contributing to threads
    3. He still frequently checks the forum

As for the tone of the forum comment, he seems to be unintimidated by the rampant paranoia and sensational headlines and comments that people make for effect.

Actually they're not. They're reflecting the state of the maturity and patience of the player base.

Criticism is to be expected. Shouting, throwing your toys out of the pram and threatening to quit because they're not giving you everything you want shouldn't be.

People want to leave? Go ahead. Nobody cares.

Ha. You know, usually I'm very patient and calm and whatnot. Not lately though.

The amount of screaming and shouting is starting to annoy me.

Yes we know the game has some glaring errors. I'm pretty sure ZOS knows from all the threads on here too.

    Gladly.

Tons of stuff in this game has been a direct result of player feedback.

Vet levels (seeing Tamriel on one character)
    First person mode
    Champion System
    Removal of Veteran Levels
More interactable objects in the world
    PVP changes
    Many many nerfs

All because of the player base.

Now you can go ahead and tell me that ZOS doesn't listen, that ZOS is the devil and they don't care about their player base but I rather think that the above list of changes as a direct result of player screaming feedback nullifies that point.

Lag in Cyrodiil? Yea that's a problem. We know and they sure as heck know that it's a problem as they mention it on EVERY ESO live. Think you can do better? Get a job with them and fix it.

I agree that a little more information would be lovely. But acting like spoiled children is not the way to go about getting more information.

Of course the last couple of ones will have more iterations as the game goes on, as they're the type of thing that will always continue to be tweaked based on feedback and what the devs see happening in-game. But that doesn't mean that they haven't already implemented tons of things in those categories based on feedback.

There's only one thing on the list that hasn't yet been implemented, and we've got quite a few details of how that's going to work (with the caveat that some of those details may change between now and implementation), and an ETA.

Players wanted something productive to do with crafting that didn't rely on the in-game economy (writs)
Players wanted a reason to go back and re-play the group dungeons after the initial quest & skill point (Undaunted pledges)
Players wanted to be able to group with characters in different alliances for group dungeons (partially implemented through LFG tool)
Players wanted mounts beyond the original horses (senches, guars, etc)

If we were to actually sit down and make a comprehensive list of all of the things that players have asked for in the game, and that have been implemented (or begun to be implemented, or that we have an ETA for) the list would be huge.

I don't blame him. You seen the state of these forums lately?

Forums are only reflecting state of the game.

I care about people leaving. Enough leave and the MMO dies. That's why we can't have nice things.

People are going to leave all the time, for a variety of reasons. It is unreasonable to think that a majority block of the player population will be institutional.

ESO is a game, and a game that is being driven by the vision of the studio, not the players. It is inevitable that a certain segment of players will disagree with this and be vocal about it. Those that accept that this is not their game, and can have fun playing, will come to terms with whatever the studio is doing. Those that cannot do that will, hopefully, leave and go do something that is fun that they can come to terms with.

People who leave do not bother me, particularly those that seem unhappy about staying. I care more that unhappy people stay around instead of leaving. No one should do something that makes them unhappy.

What people should care about is that new people join the game. People leaving does not kill an MMO. People not joining is what kills an MMO.

If you read the forums, it is easy to become overwhelmed by the gloom and doom and how ZOS is totally incompetent. ZOS hates PC players, hates Mac players, hates Console players, hates PVP players, hates PVE players, hates groups, hates solo, hates DK, hates Templars, hates Argonians... One might come to the conclusion that ESO is just days away from pushing up the daisies. Be that the case, or not, the people playing the game by actually being in the game seem largely unaware that the game is about to die at any moment. Those are the people who voted on MMORPG. Those are the people who buy Crown Store stuff and subscribe to ESO Plus. That is the reflection of the state of the game, not what happens here in the forum. What those people say is what brings in new players.

I'm new to ESO but some people are acting as spoiled brats that moan without providing anything but their own frustrations and expectations. The amount of work, dedication, detail and size of this game is enormous. As an ES fan and a collector I can say they did a marvelous job making it real with a genuine, lore expanding ES experience. I have nothing but praise of this game. Keep up the good work.

Fixed that for you. There are elements in the game that I think should be changed, and certain decisions ZOS has made that I disagree with, but on the whole I think this is a great game, and it's unfortunate that there are so many people who act like spoiled brats.

Of course, there are also people who present their ideas about what should be done differently in the game in a much more constructive manner. Look at the thread on re-vamping the 1-piece bonuses on Monster Helm sets for a good recent example of that. There are others, of course, that was just one that immediately came to mind.

Actually the forums doesn't reflect the current state of the game, neither does it reflect the general player base. Most people on the forum are here because there is some issue they want to take up with Zenimax (either positive or negative) and they are vocal enough to raise their voice about it here in public.

I'm not saying this has to be negative in any way and I have respect for everyone who raises issues they feel are important. But on the other hand, that doesn't necessarily mean that all issues raised are relevant or constructive.
It actually leads to an overflow of negatively themed posts as players who are experiencing no issues with the game are more likely to just keep on playing the game rather than spending time posting positive posts.

There are also some people who just like to complain about things, and they are also likely to post their thoughts.

I still feel that the great majority of the community are behaving mature and reasonable, even though you still come across posts that appears to exist only to invoke some sort of negative response.
