We have all the main types of magic in game except TWO that are represented in class trees. Those two lines being frost from destruction (sorc has lightning/ DK has fire), the second line is the second half of conjuration, necromancy...i feel that frost magic and necromancy go together like butter and rice. As for a third line, defile magic or something like we have from the enemies the cast those really painful crows and totems...
this will never be implemented.
The main enemies of this games story are necromancers(yes, there is a story) it would be incredibly lore breaking to play as the type of enemy you dedicate your character to destroying.
Maybe hunters, shamans, stuff like that, but i doubt necromancers will ever make it (unless ZOS does what the WoW peeps did with the deathknights and have you start out in mannimarcos/molag bals service, then end up betraying them and fighting for the other side.)
however, it does not mean i would not try it!:D
I would at least be better than mannimarco.
[off topic]So much better, but I do like the idea of tieing the skill lines into the quests, and the "corruption" TES series has always been nice but really the darkest thing I remember doing questline wise was just slaughtering innocents out of spite for Molag... Kind of boring
If there could be a line of world skills that are TIED to the core classes so that the Necro-skills are a “corrupted” versions of the classes giving each class an additional skill tree (or trees)
On one hand, I think Necromancy would make more sense as a world skill, but I think lore would suggest that it’s a discipline that requires dedication so it’s not like a Templar can be a Necromancer. If there could be a line of world skills that are TIED to the core classes so that the Necro-skills are a “corrupted” versions of the classes giving each class an additional skill tree (or trees), I think we would have an interesting mechanic on our hands. So:
Templar corrupts to Accurser (I renamed your Cursed Magic)
Dragon Knight corrupts to Defiler
Sorcerer corrupts to Necromancer
Nightblade corrupts to Seducer
This could be tied into the Dark Brotherhood (or at the least Daedric Princes) or could be a completely different mechanic within ESO. Either way, I think players should be able to hide that they are corrupted so they work in secret.
Overall I really like the idea of players being able to take ‘darker paths’ I hope we see these sorts of additions to ESO with the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood. Thanks for sharing!
Oh... and the ARMOR that should be added along with these types of skills... WELL...
