Statistic of the races used in PvP

As you probably noticed there are achievments in AvA section saying how many enemies of each race you killed. I don't know exactly how it counts the kills, but it doesn't really matter, what I thought would be actually interesting is to compare the numbers, so I did it now because I've hit 100 on one of them, where the counting ends, so it wouldn't be representative in the future anymore. This might be influenced by me being on AD faction, so take that into account.

So here are the numbers:

Breton: 100
Redguard: 59
Dark Elf: 53
Imperial: 49
High Elf: 34
Nord: 33
Khajiit: 27
Orc: 21
Wood Elf: 19
Argonian: 9

mods: I put this into this category because I felt like this falls under "character mechanics", but feel free to move it if you feel like it.

That's kinda flawed, cause I'm sure there was no 50/50 distribution between your kills on DC and EP, and your own faction is not in there... also the set is way too small ;)

That being said, it's very likely that the order is more or less like that. But yeah, it's been discussed endlessly on these forums that some races just suck.

Now you just need like 300 players or so from each alliance to link their's and then you can compile it and then get a small sample from which to provide an educated guess. In all seriousness it would be really cool if someone took the time to compile this just for something interesting to read and look at.

Those numbers are going to be skewed by what you come across in your campaign and what you can actually kill.

I think if you were purely looking for a population average, I would say the distribution would go something like this:

    Top 3:
    Breton
    Dark Elf
    Khajiit

    Middle 4:
    High Elf
    Imperial
    Wood Elf
    Nord

    Bottom 3:
    Orc
    Redguard
    Argonian

Breton has more utility than High Elf for Magicka class builds
Khajiit is more common than Wood Elf for stamina based characters
Dark Elf is popular for fire mitigation/damage in PVP
Imperial would be top 3, but not everyone has purchased

    thanks,

    So.. nice list up @Jura23 , @iamnotweakrwb17_ESO ,

guessing how Stamina Magicka distribution is, only looking at the obvious races, it moves between 40-60% Stamina !

    that's more than I thought.

I can only imagine Orcs would be purely represented because of 2 factors (outside of faction choice):

    1. Some simply can't get over their looks and concept in ESO.
    2. Their racials were updated later on making them far more appealing.

If ZOS wakes up and updates Argonian racials they may actually appear in game too!

I play an Orc stam DK and personally love the racials overall now but wouldn't have picked them prior.

Hmm OP has roughly 400 kills, 500 for the next poster.

When I get home I can check it, Smart Glass only tells me I currently have aprox 900 kills. Gonna go out on a limb and guess most are NBs, and whatever their most prominent race is.

Last night, as It was late I ran into three enemy groups.

    Group 1. x3 NBs x1Sorc
    Group 2. x1 Sorc x1 NB x1 DK
    Group 3. x1 Sorc x1 NB

Sorcs and NBs are heavily favored in my experience, with it usually being 2or 3 NBs per Sorc

I've seen an UP in DKs, however there is rarely more than 1 per group.

Templars are the rarest (and strangely I find them most often alone)

The thing about races is, a ton of clothing hides the features of all races. Example, im sure I fought an Orc, however I wouldn't know it based on what I've seen.

Most sorcs would be magicka. Very few stamina sorcs.
Most nightblades are stamina Still a good number of magicka nightblades.
    Most templars are healers
    Most DKs are stamina.

If I had to hazard a guess I would say magicka templars and magicka nightblades provide the majority of deaths for magicka races. The sorcs, while there are a lot of them around, they are much harder to kill. Magicka nightblades have a tendency to bite off more than they can chew due to stealth getting them into dangerous positions.

I would think breton would be the most killed race due to them being mostly templar healers. All healers go down like sacks of *** in this game without extremely tanked up builds. Most healers will have stamina issues and be in light armor so they will die pretty easily.

High elves were the ones I reach 100 for the soonest. Probably because I'm DC and during my early days of PvP, I played on a server that was largely dominated by AD, so we had far more opportunities to kill AD than the server's other underdog faction.

What faction you're in and what the dominant factions of a campaign are will make a substantial difference in the numbers.

My main is DK, but my main is my first character at PC launch. At console launch, the NB was already highly advantageous in PvP, so PvP focused players might have favored them from launch with no attachment to old characters from when things were different.

Still, I see a ton of NB on PC. It might be because NBs come in for melee more aggressively since they can just disappear and run away, while other classes are more cautious about going toe to toe. It is also really in your face when they are spamming ambush.

While I respect the integrity of idea, a sample of 500~ kills is probably not representative of pvp.

That said you could probably get this information through writing a global statistics compiling addon similar to MM for the kill counter addon.

    eniweys

I only have a breton, redguard, heyho elf and a nord.

Argonians look weird with the clippy tail, wood elfs are pretty much the ugliest race in the game unless you want to rp a midget or a child (some do, no hate), khajiit are so so, i might make one maybe..someday, just dont want to be confused with furries. (still need a templar see, but that class has so far not really been interesting to me, its not distinct.. looks like a random warblegarble of skills and personalities rather than something that spells out templar.. to me that whole skillset spells out "valkyrie, healer, fire.. ehh..lightning.. ..ehh ..mage.. dunno what to do lets call it templar) Dunmer has got to be the most one dimensional race in the game, if you play a dunmer you better be a dualwield dragonknight.. or youre shooting yourself in the foot hard with his passives.. and im not even a meta player, heck i have a redguard mage for godsake.
