Exactly. Go farm old orsinium or something.
There's 3 other pvp campaigns for people to pvp, 4 including axe topside. Why would I goto wrothgar if gated access = faction lock? Stones should not be unique to just pvp. Pvers want access to stones too. Gated access and faction lock is a good alternative for pvers.
There's 4 campaigns for pvp. Stones are available inside a pvp zone. Players kill players in pvp. You died because you got complacent and you're being nieve. It's been known since before IC launch that locked access means you can no longer get INTO IC if your faction does not own its home keeps. And it was explicitly stated that people already in IC would not get kicked out.
Take responsibility for your mistake and prepare better the next time you go farm. If not, I'll cap my home keeps in axe and teach you to be prepared.

I'm guessing what you mean by explicit is an official released statement notarized by ZoS?
This is like saying you didn't know you needed to buy DLC to access DLC. It's common knowledge and common sense.
Your assumption that there would be no other faction in the sewers was wrong and will always been wrong. Hundreds of players cap their home keeps in axe to go kill AD in those sewers. Welcome to PvP.
It wasn't explicit. It wasnt stated in the patch notes. Not everyone reads nor should be required to read pts notes or watch eso live YouTube videos. Paying attention is not the issue here. The fact that they offer faction lock but allow alt NB gankers to remain as long as they want isn't really faction lock now is it. It's a dumb exploitable mechanic and the purpose of this post is to get them to change it. I could care less about the stones. I've already made over 200k stones pvping IC in haderus and azura. So no crying here. Instead, why don't you pvp in a real zone like me and man up instead of skulking around with your twinked out vr16 toon NB preying on non vet pvers trying to experience IC in a faction locked area. I hope to god I come across you on one of the other campaigns because I want to wipe the floor with you.
Zos has an opportunity here to fix this mess. Guarantee you if they do, pvers and casual players will be extremely happy and come out in droves to play this game more. Right now with this stupid mechanic they are shooting themselves in the foot and loosing prospective players that want to try IC but may be to shy or scared or turned off.joshdm2001_ESO wrote: »joshdm2001_ESO wrote: »JackDaniell wrote: »IC = PvP zone, if that's not your cup of tea go to wrothgar

HAH. hokay bru
Arguing with the pvp community is silly, they want to be able to farm you. ZOS wants them to be able to farm you. And zos doesn't want them to have to farm PvE for helms. This is a bold statement from Zos devs. If it wasn't so profitable people wouldn't leave their NB in the sewers to gank unsuspecting pve players.
BTW there is achievments for ganking people with over 10k stones so ZOS intended them to be able to wreck your day. Enjoy.

No, just speak truth. You don't leave your NB in Axe to fight good PVP players you want to farm noobs while they fight mobs. Just admit it.

Well if this is truly working as intended, it's a poor decision by Zos. They are losing prospective players. Limiting people the experience of IC by allowing the horrendous pvp community to "rek" them via this mechanic is illogical from a business pespective. I highly doubt the pvp community would care if they fixed it. We have 3 other campaigns to choose from. Any self respecting pvper wouldn't waste time skulking around trolling a faction locked area trying to gank for stones. As a pvper I don't do this nor have any need to. I can earn my stones legit via haderus and azura. If its not working as intended, Zos should fix it.

I have no nightblade in those sewers. But getting an alt inside a locked campaign is a valid and frankly brilliant tactic.

You didn't read properly or did not understand.
This thread is not whining about dying in a pvp zone (I did not even die).
It is about how illogical it is that you still can find enemies (and respawning enemies) in a zone where everyone else but your own faction is supposed to be locked out. It simply makes little sense and wasn't clearly mentioned as such in the "rules".
By the way, what the hell are you doing with stones ? Does anyone still care about stones ? What people farm in the sewers isn't stones anymore, believe me ;-)

It is brilliant, you can net a lot of TV with very little effort. It's just bad game design tho. Someone spends hours farming only to lose 80% of their efforts in the blink of an eye while the attacker doesn't have to risk anything. Should have to carry stones to get stones from players.

OP thought IC was locked for other factions = safer for his faction = PvP-free, and it's perfecly legit to think this way because that's how it was described by ZOS in their very first versions of gated campaigns (August on PTS).
It would have been very silly to bank those stones because he had just taken them OUT OF the bank into his inventory to benefit from the multiplier.
I did that too. Because I thought just like him. I was very surprised when I was ganked by a red. And very relieved when I won the fight. OP wasn't that lucky, that's all.
Fire is hot and you can get ganked in IC.
It's explicit and implicit. The ENTRANCE becomes faction-locked.
However, I do agree that you shouldn't be able to respawn inside if your entrance has been locked.
Just let those EP or smurfs oor whatever gank those carebears.
why people even care? it's theirs stones not yours, and if you did die to someone, well, god damm , it IS a pvp zone.

Learn to read, please.
It's got nothing to do with dying or not dying, ganking or not ganking, stones or no stones, carebears or not of whatever color.
It's got to do with the logic behind a "gated access campaign" and its consequences for action in overland Cyrodiil and in IC.
The game is not going to kick you out of content you paid for.
anitajoneb17_ESO wrote: »That's definitely not the reason why people can respawn within IC even if they have no access and even after a pvp death.

Kind of is.
Originally, ALL of the campaigns would have this gated access, and you would get kicked/not be able to respawn in, if your alliance lost their home keeps.
However, they backed out, because they can't sell content that other players can actively prevent you from playing. They'd get sued, and would need to refund all the players with weaker pvp-oriented guilds in their faction.
