Repora and Itade in Wrothgar

Repora (v16 Additive) and Itade (v16 Subtractive) don't drop in any of the potency enchanting nodes found in Wrothgar. Is this intentional or a bug?

You get unlimited drops in IC sewers for the low low price of 400 TV stones a pop.

I've found one itade.... that's it.

i've farmed wrothgar MANY times and probably picked up hundreds of runes...... the only way to get those is to waste gold on it from a guild trader or waste real money and buy the POS dlc "imperial city".

IC would be 100% worthless if they didn't force you to farm stones to buy mats.

So, for the record, Repora and Itade can drop from nodes in Wrothgar, correct? They are just exceedingly rare?

I have found a few of each, so they do indeed drop.

It's just a stupid low chance, apparently.

If it's that low a chance why bother? lol

I get they want them to be rare, but a drop rate of what must be less than 0.1% chance is just stupid.

I think crux is actually easier to find. It's way easier to go to IC and steal some stones to buy them.

Yes, they do drop. The only ones I got so far were from nodes that spawned right in front of me.

My theory on the low drop chance is more that by now, a majority of farmers don't pick up the node content once they realize it's another one of the highly useless kura/kude stones.

Since nodes don't respawn if not emptied, most blue nodes are kura/kude.

It's the same with crawlers, casserite sand, and chest with just glyphs in there. Working as intended, apparently, because anything else would allow us to progress to fast through the grind...

Outside of the Imperial City, I may have seen a Repora and or Itade potency rune maybe once in Wrothgar. I personally think the best bet of obtaining these are through the Tel Var Stone merchant in the Imperial City.

I don't know about this. I'll do a farming run and loop over the same area 4-5 times allowing for respawns between loops, and I tend to do this in off hours when not many others are around. I pick up every single thing I can from enchanting runes to alchemy mats to whatever. I have stacks and stacks of v16 equipment mats, barrels full of Lorkhan's Tears, but almost no v16 runes whatsoever.

Maybe RNGesus has been hating on me these past few weeks, but with all the other complaints about this topic on the forums it seems like an actual issue. Likewise, ZOS's complete silence on the issue is typically indicative of them having designed it this way intentionally but not wanting to comment on it because we would probably get pissed off.

Which is fine, if you are a PvPer. For people like me, who hate PvP (and are also horrendously bad at it), any attempt I would make to farm the TV stones I need would simply result in my farming them for the first person to gank me. No thanks.

This isn't the thread to debate the TV stone system, but for people like me who feel it's an abomination of a system, and refuse to get involved, we need another way to reliably acquire V16 mats. As it stands, V16 glyphs are basically "for PvP players only."

ZoS has made it clear. You WILL join PvP if you want gear quickly. You WILL enjoy being ganked and ganking people for hours on end. Also, PvP players WILL have access to prime PvE gear without having to PvP.

You act as if PvE has an effect on the community...

Wut I mean by that is, seeing as all PvE content can be done with any build, then the only stressful, mandatory need for max gear is...... PvP! PvE is for you and your buds, I really don't care what any gear PvE players have (itll never effect me!) Now for PvP, I better be geared for that Emp.

It's simply a business marketing decision.

The second the entire PVE community can get everything they need in Wrothgar IC becomes unnecessary and irrelvelant for whatever the percentage of players who are PVE based

The reason hey don't say anything is he people who sign the pay checks have told them not to.

The drop rate is low on the materials you need to pressure into purchasing both DLC's is a response that wouldn't float very well, as a result silence or some regurgitated talking points like, "We hear your feedback and are looking at drop rates in Wrothgar."

It's called being pleasantly patronizing while you feel pressure to purchase what you don't want to get the things you feel you need in game.

Essientally if you want to craft endgame gear you have to sub or buy IC DLC, if Wrothgar was a one stop shop you could avoid the purchase altogether.

I'm just telling him what to be in store for. It amazes me how PvP players whine about not being able to get any gold. If PvP players can't get gold they are completely ignorant. The EASIEST way to earn money is doing PvP. Also, I wasn't commenting on whether or not you care, because I really don't give a rats @#$ what you do in the game.

If you want gear, PvP, period.

And yes gear is important in some vet dungeons and trials.

I think it's possible to find those mats in wrothgar, but again, you must play IC to get mats quickly. You can also earn tons of gold playing IC, expecially ganking people with stones.

I'm not good at pvp either but I've farmed IC for over 60,000 tv stones and a crazy amount of trophies. It is not difficult to do. Run in groups or join less populated campaigns.

I've also fished in cyrodil and IC to catch all 24 rare fish there and was killed maybe 5 times total.
