So, something I don't understand. Instead of just having vet levels, and then soon removing them because, they were disliked by many? Then introduced cp...
Why are zos choosing these methods over simply increasing the level cap? I don't actually see what's wrong with this method.
Please forgive my ignorance. I have not played in a long time, and just started over on console with my cousin.
Not looking for a bickering mess and arguments, just a genuine question.
Peace fellow elder scrollers.
IMO levelling is not the problem, the real pain is the boring and senseless grind to V16, specially if you have alt chars

I didn't mind the veteran ranks. But alas, its going the other way. I won't mind that, either, I'll still play all my alts through cadwells, just for the heck of it (the expees, skyshards and quest skill points don't hurt either...)

I know and understand the reasons of players disliking vet levels. I just can't fathom why we don't get extended level caps.
Why not increase the level cap? What is the reason for this particular choice?

I think its a "levels for mainstory, alternate system post-mainstory" thing. The veteran ranks were tailored to the cadwells regions, with each region being one V rank. It was not well recieved by the players, due to the "That much to level through until max level, for each character", which I personally don't really follow, since its that way in -every- game.I know and understand the reasons of players disliking vet levels. Then they got the idea for the champion system, with a nifty "shared progression after mainstory" notion... so that's what they are working on now. It will please the ones who want to race to endgame. Me, I won't care about that aspect...
I -DO- like the idea that playing on my max-level characters will -still- earn me something, for that "Ding - you got better" feeling each c-point...
