Remember back in the day when mudcrabs where op? When 2 or 3 of them would own you and make you cry nerf! Nerf! Nerf! Back when exploring Tamriel was actually dangerous.....
Well they were nerfed, along with everything else. Now exploring Tamriel is more like being in an amusment park. It might look scary or dangerous but really it's not. Where the hardest and most dangerous thing now is managing your inventory. Lol
Just some light hearted reminiscing.....
Ahh the good ol days!

I remember in previous games mud crabs looking like rocks and then popping out and trying to gank you like a sneaky nb

I do remember when the PVE was much harder in beta. Lots of my friends couldn't complete the first DC fighter's guild quest with the named Harvester... The sense of accomplishment after beating it after half a dozen tries was amazing.

Can you imagine being high as **** with a killer mudcrab on your heels?

I remember! Mudcrabs, Doshia, Guttripper! I remember the fuss around those tho I never had a problem with my Templars because our best abilities were the first in each tree. Keep Nova for the right time and -Bam!
Only time in my game-time with ESO I felt OP as a Templar... Good times!
But then came Mannimarco! What a struggle this guy was, must have tried a dozen of times and only when I was 2 levels above did I manage to defeat him.. And even Molag Bal ... what a fight!
Yep good times! Starter zones are now a total cheese, that's too bad, I learned how to fight thanks to the main quest!
Now people cheese it all, go to PvP, get wrecked and complain because they have that idea that they are so strong they can not be defeated... oh well
Edit: This was in early Beta... at launch the game had already been tremendously nerfed...

Mannimarco was a nightmareMolag bal was pleasant experience in comparison.

The archers in Craglorn.
The Storm Atronachs in the beginning of the game ...bloody hell, they would wipe out entire groups of players in dolmens.
Banished Cells first boss.
Veteran Spindleclutch spider spawns during bossfight.
Then there was the middle phase, where they fixed some things and removed dodging option in veteran Elden Hollow, during Bogdan The Nightflame bossfight. You could no longer dodge the fire, but Bogdan could jump right after he spit his fire, so the whole team would wipe.
Veteran Banished Cells achievement required 5 daedroths to be kept alive, and they used to deal much more damage back then.
I feel so lucky that I chose to play Aldmeri Dominion, because it used to be a killer for DC and EP questers who got to AD as their Silver and Gold area. UNDEADS AND DREMORA EVERYWHERE - and before prenerf, before players had researched traits and had access to shiny armor and all that, AD was a killer faction to deal with on veteran levels.

Nope . I remember however, how ZOS messed up the perfectly balanced launch day difficulty in all Vr1-Vr10 when they launched Crag. I remember how I couldn't do some dumb Vr8-9 quests even though I was soloing Crag and Crag delves since the day they launched it.failkiwib16_ESO wrote: »I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the wasps in lower Craglorn xD they would wipe out groups of players...

That was before my veteran time though, so I never experienced it. When I got to craglorn as a v2-v3 or something, I wasn't able to kill a single enemy there, because I played in looted random armor, used the wrong skills and struggled at solo quests in SilverNope . I remember how they said they hot fixed the difficulty even though we could still see Vr9 versions of atros with double the hp and damage of Crag Vr11 atros for months after.
I also remember how their actual final fix was to nerf all Vr1-10 zones to the ground.
Totally right! and Harvesters in general... I would try to sneak pass all of those. Some World bosses were really tough: I remember a few that would require 7 or 8 players to kill.. what a thrill
And soul gems were really valuable as we would die a loooooot.
I always play AD but in Cadwell Silver, I remember some World bosses that would swarm a lot of adds that would wipe quite a few of us hehe
