Its really not that hard... Just avoid circles and dps him quickly. Takes no more than a couple minutes. Sorcs can almost solo this.

Stay at block and walk carefully.
    Don't stand, stop or run.
Just go to the one direction.
Don't stack with your group mate.
Give some points to Elemental defender.

The Ash Titan I have renamed to the Pug Killer.

He is actually a really easy boss, but for some reason the pug tryhards just can't do it. I dread vcoa as the daily gold for this very reason. I play around 4am and it's very hard to find a group outside the LFG tool. And it is also very hard to find a group with DPS who know how to handle this fight. I didn't even do today's gold pledge, I just give up.

My other frustration with this fight as a caster is sometimes there is a lag or latency issue that causes your character to stop for a quick moment after each spell cast. I refer to it in game as "stop-casting". It's VERY annoying and gets me killed once in a while.

I am just going to form my own group and require players to link me their achievement before heading in. Otherwise it's a wipe fest where the healer gets blamed. For the most part, I don't think you even really need a healer on the ash titan.

If you need help with the fire rain phase then I recommend slotting annulment from the Light armor skill line. Everyone has access to that skill.

Did it earlier today. As tank, I agro'd the boss and ran around the edge in a (previously communicated) direction. When the atros appeared, range taunted them as well. Other then that all I did was spam Obsidian Shard like crazy and try to keep far enough in front to be out of the red, although it tended to catch up every time I had to turn and taunt.

DPS' burned him done fast. I think the healer used up half his magicka trying to throw shards in my path but I don't think we managed to get that right even once. Yay for tripots.

This was was easy and was really short; the other time I did it took a few tries and was a crazy, confusing fight that lasted forever.

He's been nerfed to hell and beyond, I remember him actually been challenging(either that or we're just too OP compared to him now), please leave the poor guy alone
Fire Rain is the only possible issue(it also does sometimes happen even if you burn him crazy fast, I think it's random), use Annulment(light armor active) if you keep dying. Spam it if you have to, it will keep you up. And KEEP MOVING. If you have issues blocking and moving, just spam Annulment and run. Do NOT run into other people, if this thing stacks you'll probably die. It can be a bit tricky to heal because healer has to stay far enough for the aoes to not overlap but close enough to heal, but it's totally doable. Also, with enough Annulment spam/paying enough attention you can avoid like 100% of the damage.

STOP ASKING FOR NERFS AND LEARN TO PLAY.

If your tank dodges his fireballs, you won't get the big circles and will only have to deal with the small ones.

Even if you get both, I can't see how you aren't able to dodge out of most and deal with the damage.

If you're a magicka user, Harness Magicka (Annulment) makes this fight Easy Mode.

Hell, there's been one run where he killed the healer, and then the other two go down shortly afterwards, leaving me to just kite him and the atronachs around the room while spamming my harness and casting ranged DPS--I soloed him for half the fight. He's the easiest of the three triple-elite bosses, and there's absolutely no need to nerf him.

(Especially if you're a vampire, you really, really want to use Harness Magicka for this fight.)

    Nerf those wanting a nerf!

The first time I did this boss I died a lot.

Second time? Not one death. You need to learn the mechanics of the bosses for an optimal fight.

And stay out of the fire!

Do people find this boss hard?

Just curious as to what's difficult in CoA in general?

Me and a few guildies went for a no death run the other night, my healer is a vampire.

Didn't run into any issues, infact the only death the entire run was me glitch in out in the lava and getting stuck

Did have a few issues with another pug run, but that's because none of them had a clue, and the 'tank' had less health than me and kept dying. Most of their deaths were because they all wanted to be in melee range of skoria, yet make no effort to avoid his attacks..

This. Harness lets you make a mistake (or 3) during the AEs and still live. Unlike a lot of the other veteran boss fights the AEs here very unforgiving...one mistake (dodging the wrong way, waiting a half-second too long, etc...) will most likely kill you outright.

I too struggled with this fight the first few times but now its not that difficult with a few basic things:
    1. Keep Harness Magicka (or another shield) up as much as possible.
    2. Keep moving during the circle AE phase will generally get you out of the large circles as soon as they appear.
    3. Keep away from each other during the circle AE phase, otherwise you'll get a double AE which will most likely kill you even with harness up.
    4. Stay far from the boss during the fire wave AE phase. Use skills that increase movement speed if possible. If you can't reach the gap then roll dodge through the wave. Use Harness again.
    5. If you DPS is high enough you probably won't even see any AEs.

Wait... What?.. I did not even realize this boss had any mechanics besides from the personal AoE which works pretty much like the CoH dude...

I have tanked this guy several times, and also been DPS. I have litteraly never taken more than about 30 seconds to burn him. As a tank i just taunt him and stand there.

Crematorial Guards are a bigger challenge than the Ash Titan for gods sake.

Just crushed it with no deaths on V16. Skoria took an hour lol. Got the helm again though. Remarkably got nerenith again. In WGT now. Feeling lucky. The rain does nothing if you keep moving. Too many archers just stand still spamming snipe all the time.

He has been buffed quite a bit with 1.6 I think, was laughably easy before that. However, he's still not really hard, just gotta pay attention. What exactly is your problem with him, perhaps I can help here?
He has some attacks that randomly target any player, such as Meteor or that fireball, whatever its name is, he throws occasionally(similar to CoH last boss, he loves turning around right before doing that so don't hope he shoots where he aims, dodge/block in advance), you gotta pay attention and block or dodge those or you'll get nice damage AND cc. You also have to watch out for that burning star(forget the name) he does, just move, with practice you'll learn to avoid it, it's not that hard.
Also, last boss is a lot harder to dps in melee range. Not impossible, no, but harder.

It just takes practice, really. The first time I beat Skoria, it was a harrowing experience that took many wipes, and I felt like I got past it just by the skin of my teeth. These days, Skoria feels downright easy.

Melee DPS against Skoria is riskier, but many builds do their best DPS at melee: DKs, Templars, and most stamina builds. With practice, though, engaging Skoria at melee range isn't so bad. Plus, once you're on the third platform, you have to be in melee range. (And of course, tanks are always engaging him at point-blank range.) One healer told me that things were so much easier at melee range because the whole group is close together and he doesn't have to keep an eye on two locations. These days, I prefer to do the whole fight at melee range even if I have the option to range him down--it's more straightforward and it's good practice.

Dodging stuff is too hard, better nerf the content to do less damage so I don't need to move anymore.
