Been having this problem since the last update as well. The client disconnects from the servers, it still runs locally on my machine until it times out and kicks to log in.
This is the first time I have seen this problem, even in closed beta I did not encounter this, and have been playing since closed beta.
Same machine from then until now.
Core I7 3770K
680 GTX
16 Gigs of Ram
SSD drive
Windows 7 64 OS
I have always played on max settings
Something has been changed in the network data handling that is not happy about being changed.
This is my live update. I have deleted my ESO user files in my documents entirely. I have also before launching the game decided to do the initial launch with everything on minimum settings because I heard that it changes some of the shaders or something only when launched on minimum. I have been playing longer now then I have been able to for the last couple days. Still haven't crashed since I have done this. I will let you guys know what else happens. My snow isn't shiny anymore but if that means I can play then hells ye!
ITS WORKING!!! ITS WORKINNGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ITS WORKING!!! ITS WORKINNGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I instaled windows 10 64 bits, and i'm now downloading ESO. I will try what you did.
One more question, can you play in cyrodill? if yes this is ultimate prove that it's working. Also did you download your game from steam? just to know if the problem is from a source or something

Hello, I solved my problem with game crashes simply reducing the "view distance" option to 25.
My PC mounts a gtx 970, an Inter Core i5- 4460, CPU@ 3.20 GHz and 8GB Ram.
I'm playing with Ultra-High settings and I used to crash especially in crowded places, like Grahtwood. I tried really anything (reinstalling the game, reinstalling old drivers, changing the usersettings file, etc) till I solved the problem reducing the view distance. Hope this could be useful.

Hope it helps someone.

We recommend that players who are experiencing crash issues on their Windows 32-bit PC to follow the steps below:
Locate and access the Usersettings.txt file
By default this file is located here:
•C:\Users\user.name\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live
or
•C:\Users\user.name\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\liveeu
Find the line SET GraphicsDriver.7 "D3D11" or SET GraphicsDriver.7 "D3D9" in the file.
Change the line to: SET GraphicsDriver.7 "OPENGL". Please save the file after making the change.
Should the game keep crashing, please contact our dedicated Customer Support team and include the following information in your ticket:
•A copy of the Game Consultant information: https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/6690
•A copy of the MSInfo for further investigation: https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4463
These files can be attached to the ticket. Please note that these files can be very large and should not be copy/pasted into the contents of an e-mail.
Please be assured that this is a temporary workaround to allow you to enjoy playing the game while we research a more substantial solution to this crashing issue that continues to happen.
Some players have reported success in disabling a specific windows update that was applied, but at this time we do not have confirmation which update it was or whether it was effective.

Experiencing the exact same issue here. I've been trying to fix this for 4 days now, with zero change. Have tried everything that I can possibly think of to resolve the issue. Played ESO several months back, and had no problems at all with the game, including when I was running SweetFX with it, and a dozen mods.
I'm able to play any other game I want to, with no issues at all what so ever. Other games ramp my GPU usage/power up to 80-90% in some cases, and I experience no crashing, even after 10+ hours. Unigine didn't crash at all, unless I overclocked my card well past what it's capable of.
I have underclocked my card, done clean installs of drivers, removed any ESO related stuff in documents, and re-installed the game. I've tried running the game in DX9, as well as on minimum graphics settings. I've tweaked about every option there is to tweak in the Nvidia control panel. I've even removed any software that I had installed between now, and the last time I was able to play the game without issues.
While running ESO, my GPU usage and power do not go above about 60%. The temp hasn't gone above 65c or so. There have been no spikes in anything before or after the crashing occurs.
My GPU drivers are up to date, currently running 359.06. I have rolled them back as far as 358.50 as well, with no change.
I've re-installed C++ and DirectX as well, hoping that might help fix the problem.
Also contacted support, and have yet to hear back from them.
