For me it's close, with Quake II possibly edging it out. The first time I played Q2 with 3D acceleration was life altering. ESO is definitely my current favorite.

Oblivion has the honor of my favorite game.
But I will say that ESO is on par with Skyrim as second.
Sims and Civilization series are the rest.
Games like Theme Hospital and Master of Orion, Master of Magic, Darklands have held my attention in the past.
The first computer game that I played outside of Pong was a game called Wizardry on a green monochrome monitor. But I remember being frustrated with Zork and being ate by a lurking grue. (Quick, light a torch so the lurkers don't find us!)

I never played any ES game before. Now Im thinking about trying Skyrim. I played Fallout New Vegas, which I enjoyed, but I still like games like Kotor or Mass Effect lot more. There is something different about Bethesda games. But Im still willing to try Skyrim. If its at least as good as New Vegas (and longer I guess?), then it wont be a wasted time.

This is the most well done MMO I have played. I have to say I still have the best memories from the original Everquest though, but give ESO time. Skyrim was super well done and I didn't get into any of the other elder scrolls games. I bought them but didn't finish them because I got bored for some reason.

I couldn't get enough of skyrim and it's the same with ESO.

For gameplay/questing/story? Yes, though Planescape: Torment is a very strong contender. I still play wow as my 'main mmo' because of my RP guild there. ESO needs RP flags >_<

Well for me it is not... But it rates high behind Morrowind Wing Commander IV and Skyrim. Its certainly the one I play the most these days

Use to be a good game until I have seen how unprofessional the ZOS team is. How they really don't help or do anything except give ppl warning and delete threads that really don't need to be deleted.

1. Legend of Zelda.

2. Anything with Bioshock in the title.

Because stories are awesome!!!

3. Oblivion.

First TES experience is always the best and all those happy memories make you forget about the bugs and problems.

4. Borderlands 2.

For the first time, I could play a game as a girl with a bionic arm and a robot named Deathtrap. What's not to love? Hmmm ... maybe this should be No. 1.

5. Dark Souls 2.

More satisfying for the masochist in me than the worst boyfriend ever.

My brother and I spent many years perfecting our play in BG 1 & 2. Timeless games!

1 Final Fantasy XI - my 11 year addiction
2 Unreal Tournament (the original only) oh the hours and hours I spent in UnrealED making maps with friends
3 Final Fantasy III - the story had the feels, all of them

I am fond of far too many games in my collection that I still go back to and play, but these are probably my top 3... probably.

Seriously Fav Game - I was a wee one playing my first graphical RPG Tunnels of Doom on the TI994-A off cassette tape. Still have fond memories of sneaking in that extended game time back in the day. Song is still burned into my head - and still wonder if my group will leave the dungeon with that awesome new armor I found.
