Np I honestly enjoyed those videos.

I do like helping out my lowlevel guildies, or newly v16's in dungeons but all that sometimes makes me bear a grudge against some bosses - so I team up with my more capable friends, and go do the same dungeons, just to see the bosses get killed in seconds >.<

You had a dedicated healer in this case, where in Nifty's video they all went straight in to do damage, so boss died faster. If everyone on your team did what they could to do maximum damage, your dps could at the end of the fight been higher than 46k i think.

Regarding the past... I think we've all had a bloody past, with lots of deaths untill we got good gear, decent knowledge of skills, rotations and friends to do dungeons with.

46K is amazing too !!

I hope though that ZOS knows that these figures are exceptional and the result of highly optimised builds in highly organized teams of highly skilled players.
It's not representative of any kind of unbalance or need for nerfs.

Most standard normally geared and skilled DPS sorcs pull 14-21K at the moment.

I normally stay away from these issues but I'm so tired of everyone calling for nerfs over everything,

Like they said this is perfect condition test and it's such a short fight it only shows what a saved up ultimate can do, a sorc running molag kena there's no way it can last longer than 1 minute, after that there back too force pulse weaving hoping for there frag proc, you think they can keep it up after that? Or will there dps drop?

And I don't know how many times people have too say vMA is not a true test of s class it's a solo arena in an MMO, remember all those Templars at the top of VDSA leader boards due to the pre dps of jabs? Yet I'm hearing Templars are under powered? So maybe it's a situational thing now I can understand too some extend pvpers asking for nerfs if they keep getting recked by a certain class they use it to vent there frustrations, but I have no clue why in pve people do? Im actually happy when I have group members pulling insane numbers, why? Because it helps the group which I'm a part of, crazy I know!

It is Selawas DPS, YOLO was there too but Selawa had more luck with crits

@Decado ..This way all boss fights are "staged" for a group like that. Almost all experienced and well geared players save up ultimates to a bossfight, do their best to kill the boss as fast as possible, to avoid the annoying mechanics and storm of adds spawning. They have done these fights before, and know where to stand and what to do, to kill the bosses fast enough.

But yeah if the fight drags out, dps goes down. It is not possible to obtain 16k+ damage on most bosses, if you don't get the support from the team - in terms of buffing, healing, tanking, and damage. In case no one in group has ultimates, but damage in group is high enough then dps will be around 20-30k only.

You might think so. But stacking Kena users + Overload dps allows you to bypass/ignore boss mechanics, meaning faster and easier PvE farm. That's definitely something that ends up ZoS radar.

Don't be surprised if they change Kena into only procc'ing on normal skills. Might also increase the cost of Overload.

Meanwhile 40k dps burst from stealth is totally fine, since you're only instakilling another player. Who cares about players. More urgent that a PvE boss is going down to quickly

...very few players in this game are geared and able to pull off 25k+ in damage in PvE and they can't do that in PvP because of the damage and healing reduction you get in Cyrodiil.

The person who made this post is proud of his "achievement" of being able to do that high damage, and even thanked the people who have helped him obtain it. He didn't boast of his dps, but was happy about his own progression and wanted to share it.

- Did you read what I wrote ?
- It's only a very small majority that can pull enough DPS to truly bypass an entire mechanic ;
- You don't need a sorc at all to pull enough DPS to truly bypass an entire mechanic ;
- Therefore there's no need to nerf sorcs to "balance" things

I feel there's some sarcasm/irony in your post but I'm not sure where/how, I'm not sure I understand it correctly.

As to PvP, I'm no PvPer myself but if I understand well, most people blame "sorcs for being OP" due to their shields (stacking), not their burst potential.

Here's a crazy thought.

How about instead of asking for nerfs, start asking for buffs to classes you feel need it? Oh and be specific and have a well thought-out idea of what you'd like changed.

btw, if you're going for a such short fight anyway, i guess you can add a familiar and cast the lightning armor from your non-overload bar.

on top of that, you could add the buff from the assault tvs set

why use Entropy when ur a sorc? we have power surge it's way better than entropy. either way, i dont use spell buff ability on my third bar, i just use spell power potion instead.

Did you really think this was not going to start a fight?... probably even gonna get nerfed now and people will link this video every time they try to get sorcs nerfed. The people on TamrielFoundry would have appreciated this more.

Well, they are working on "balancing" things out the next patch, however, I am not very optimistic that ZOS will get it done right

Well, they are working on "balancing" things out the next patch, however, I am not very optimistic that ZOS will get it done right

So long since we've seen a balance patch, im interested to see what they will do, but im not very optimistic either.
