In terms of Barbershop implementation,
I think that it would be truly epic if there were a player skill line which was levelled by giving people makeovers. You could start off by changing a few things like hair-styles and end up with full blown body alterations, beards, piercings etc etc
And, if there were loads of new additional options on top of the choices on char creation, this would be even more awesome - give people a reason to do it!
Kicker - you can only do it to someone else - to encourage a bit of interdependency

OMG YES!!!! They could still make money by having people buy hairstyles they want in the Crown Store so the "barber" player would have access to the "customer's" available styles. Then there would be special styles that were dependent on the skill (level) of the barber. So if a player wanted a specific style, they might have to hunt down a barber of a particular skill to get it applied to their character.
Love it!

I can imagine it now... defeat someone in cyrodil, give them a makeover, and they respawn with pink lipstick, heavy makeup and violet anime hair... they wouldn't be able to show their face in a nord bar again!I think that it would be truly epic if there were a player skill line which was levelled by giving people makeovers.
That's how the gimme crowd usually whines. And if the game had stayed subscription powered, that might have been how it could have gone.

^ THIS.In this proposed barber shop there HAS to be ways to adjust lighting and different backgrounds to flip through so we can get a proper idea of what our character will look like in game.
*Sweatdrops intensify* WHY NOT? *shifty eyes*As long as we don't get something g crazy or lore breaking its all good. Don't need bright pink hair chick riding her frost horse naked around the world.

They have the character creation already coded so I'm not sure why it hasn't been implemented with a barber shop yet. They know everybody wants it so I'm just wondering what is the deal...

So all of this. There are SO MANY THINGS ZOS could be making a metric frak-ton of $$$ on that would actually be very easy for them to implement... yet none of those things seem to be on their agenda. Completely baffling.

Or maybe better to say, there are probably so many things on their agenda, that the new things that people propose are getting into implementing very very slow
